Aussie Radio Star Lauren Phillips Unrecognisable in Adorable Childhood Throwback Photo

She’s one half of a very popular Melbourne Radio duo.

2023 saw the cancellation of her well-known KIIS FM program, paving the way for the powerful duo, Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O Henderson, to take over.

Despite Kyle and Jackie O’s efforts to rule Melbourne’s airwaves, this morning radio host managed to outsmart them consistently, maintaining her dominance in the process.

She announced her engagement in July 2023 to aviation boss Paul O’Brien.

Outside the studio, she’s often seen socializing with figures such as Matt Damon and Chris Hemsworth.

Can you guess who it is? It’s none other than Lauren Phillips.

This week, the Instagram account for The Jase and Lauren Show posted a heartwarming photo from the past featuring their popular radio personality.

In 2025, a tribute is paid to those children embarking on their school journey. The image displayed reveals Lauren, now seemingly unfamiliar, as a primary school-aged girl.

The  photo showed Lauren flashing the camera quite the cheeky grin, posing in her school uniform.

In the photo, the budding radio personality appeared adorable, complete with a charming touch of color from her vibrant purple hair ties added to her uniform.

Additionally, Lauren wasn’t the only one who received a trip down memory lane; the account also posted charming childhood images of fellow hosts Jase Hawkins and Clint Stanaway as well.

Similar to Lauren, both individuals seemed nearly unidentifiable in the pictures, with the exception of Jase, whose characteristic mischievous smile was noticeable, even in his youthful years.

In recent times, Clint’s appearance seems to have changed quite a bit. A vintage photograph of him revealed he was sporting a headful of blonde hair, much lighter than his present hairstyle.

The presenter was also sporting freckles across the bridge of his nose and a wry smile. 

The post, titled “Good luck to all the children beginning school this week,” drew numerous reactions from its audience, with one person comparing Clint’s youthful appearance to that of famous actor Brad Pitt in Hollywood.

Instead of using terms like ‘cute,’ one admirer particularly focused on Lauren, giving her special recognition.

‘@lfizzlphillips you’ve never looked better,’ they wrote.

Another jumped in with: ‘Lauren the rose between two thorns lol so cute.’

One observer hinted that Clint might have been quite challenging to manage in a classroom setting.

‘Okay but why does Clint look like he didn’t behave in school.’

Recently, it came to light that Lauren felt shattered following the loss of her position at KIIS FM, as Kyle and Jackie O secured a $200 million expansion deal to air their show in Melbourne instead.

‘I was gutted. I thought that was the end of my radio career,’ she told news.com.au in July.

Towards the end of last year, I was all set to depart the country and settle abroad. I felt as though I were saying, “It’s time for me to go.

When Nova pitched the idea of joining their morning radio program to the duo, Lauren admitted she was initially reluctant due to concerns about being fired once more.

‘I had a pretty bad taste in my mouth and I was scared of that happening again,’ she said.
