Aussie Radio Star Kyle Sandilands Renovates $3M Glenorie Mansion After Brain Aneurysm Diagnosis

Kyle Sandilands has initiated renovation work on his $3 million residence situated in the southern part of Sydney, following his diagnosis with a brain aneurysm.

This spacious 1970s home in Glenorie, situated approximately 43 kilometers from the city center, belongs to the well-known radio personality who is 53 years old. It offers an impressive layout with no less than eight bedrooms and five bathrooms.

In April 2022, Kyle acquired a grand 9580 square meter estate that he likens to Elvis Presley’s renowned mansion, Graceland.

During a recent broadcast of the Kyle & Jackie O show on KIIS FM, the talk radio host announced that construction was indeed being carried out at the location.

Kyle announced that the renovation is underway, as he was seen at Glenorie Bakery.

As reported by The Daily Telegraph, workers have stripped down the initial house, and a barrier now surrounds the construction area.

As reported by the source, the large property has gone through a full makeover, encompassing a total revamp of its outdoor space at the back.

The earlier amenities such as the swimming pool, garden, and recreational area have all been removed in order to make room for the planned upgrades.

The radio breakfast host first shared his renovation plans back in May last year.

On the Kyle & Jackie O show, Kyle mentioned that Graceland appears identical to his house in Glenorie; they’re an exact match.

Yet, it seemed that Jackie, Kyle’s co-host, showed skepticism towards Kyle’s daring likening of the venue to the residence of the deceased King of Rock and Roll.

‘Glenorie looks nothing like Graceland,’ she said.

She eventually conceded and acknowledged that there was some similarity, particularly if Kyle were to include additional stonework and shutters.

Later on, it came to light that he had been engaged in significant renovation projects, involving a complete overhaul of the interior and a grand, white exterior makeover.

Australian radio personality Kyle expanded his real estate holdings with the purchase of a luxurious home in Bellevue Hill, Sydney’s affluent east side, for $13.8 million in 2022.

Overlooking the harbor and divided into four stories, this property offers five bedrooms, six baths, outdoor living spaces, and a private plunge pool.

Exquisite extras encompass a pristine marbled kitchen, wooden flooring, and lofty ceilings, along with a generously sized wine storage area and an elevator servicing every level.

During The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Monday, Kyle provided a health update to his audience, addressing rumors that his recent ’emergency surgery’ had been postponed and speculation that he might not have been genuinely ill.

He wasn’t taken aback when he didn’t need emergency surgery, since those who closely follow his show would already know this due to his visits to the surgeon and the unusual nature of the condition.

It’s connected to multiple blood vessels, which can make accessing it quite complex,” the KIIS FM star explained further.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been unequivocal about this: venturing in and retrieving it at this moment carries significant risks.

Instead of performing immediate surgery, Kyle’s doctors plan to closely observe the issue and reevaluate his condition in approximately half a year.

The media personality shocked listeners when he revealed his diagnosis earlier this month.

On a Friday, I learned from my healthcare professionals, giving the impression of a serious condition, that I suffer from a brain aneurysm. This situation necessitates urgent intervention, specifically brain surgery, as I shared then.

My physician warned me that without immediate attention, my condition could be fatal. Living a lifestyle of drug abuse and constant partying is certainly not the path to take for a long and healthy life.

He then cracked a joke about the show’s lower ratings in Melbourne.

Co-host Jackie O Henderson said: ‘Let’s think positive.’

‘That doesn’t work in real life,’ Kyle responded.

The presenter then explained his condition on air.

Instead of thinking of it as a blockage, picture this situation as if your blood vessel were similar to a garden hose that has become weak and developed a large bulge or blister, resembling a puncture or leak in the hose.

‘It’s like a bike tyre with a big bubble – that bubble’s the aneurysm, so it’s not blocked.

‘It’s expanded and if it bursts, (I will become) either a vegetable, in the wheelchair, or dead.’

He disclosed that his physician has forbidden him from using cocaine, engaging in sexual activities, self-gratification, intense weightlifting, and experiencing high levels of stress.

Kyle then revealed the effect the sad news was having on his loved ones.

Each time she encounters him, his wife Tegan Kynaston, aged 39 and mother to their son Otto born in 2022, cannot help but break down in tears, as he shared.
