Aussie influencer slammed as tone deaf for complaining about everything in LA while riots break out in the city: ‘You not been on the news?’
Criticized internet personality Kat Clark faced backlash when she expressed discomfort about residing in Los Angeles, a city where intense demonstrations against ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) were occurring.
In these tumultuous times, I find myself joining the ranks of those taking action on the fourth consecutive day of unrest here in California. Marines and members of the National Guard have stepped forward to help restore order amidst the turmoil, focusing their efforts on addressing the disorderly actions of the protesters.
Yet, on Sunday, Clark seemed unaware of the commotion as she shared a video blog discussing her everyday annoyances in Los Angeles.
On Sunday, while there was a lot going on around him/her, Clark remained oblivious and continued to upload videos about minor inconveniences in LA.
Or:
Clark chose to ignore the uproar taking place on Sunday as she documented her daily frustrations in Los Angeles by posting a video blog.
She started off by saying, ‘Although Australians and Americans share the same language, it became clear today that we lead vastly distinct lives. For instance, I couldn’t help but wonder, ‘Why is it so hard to find a decent cup of coffee in Los Angeles?’
She emphasized the importance they place on security, too, as she displayed images of stores with securely fastened gates.

As Clark, freshly transplanted from the sunny Gold Coast alongside my partner Jonathan and our teenage daughter Deja, I found myself voicing a minor inconvenience – the lack of towel usage at our local LA gym.
She pointed out a few minor observations since her relocation. There’s more to share, she added.
Clark mentioned, as she toured Ralphs grocery store, that they truly cherish their ranch. It comes in large quantities, and they’ve even discovered a tuna-flavored bacon ranch – a combination that might not appeal to everyone.
To be honest, there are quite a few dubious aspects around here, yet at the same time, many things align perfectly well.
People swarmed the comment section of the video, criticizing Clark for seemingly overlooking the riots and military presence that were prevalent in Los Angeles.
‘U not been on the news?’ one person wrote.
‘Kat completely oblivious to what’s happen in LA right now,’ another added.
A third wrote: ‘Are u going to talk about anything that’s happening in LA atm?’

‘Y’all just pretending LA isn’t a disaster rn,’ said yet another.
Clark addressed the remarks, clarifying that she had indeed been keeping track of the events unfolding within the city.
‘I hear you and I’ve been following everything closely,’ she said.
In my current situation as a visa holder, I need to be cautious with my words, but rest assured that I am attentive, absorbing information, and offering assistance wherever possible.
Fans then jumped in to offer their support to Clark.
‘What is she supposed to do about it?’ one person wrote.
Another user said: ‘She just moved there let her enjoy for like a second.’
‘It’s her life why does she have to do everything to satisfy u guys?’ commented someone else.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Clark for comment.
Approximately 700 Marines and 2,100 National Guard members have been deployed to Los Angeles streets at the president’s direction, with the aim of addressing the rising lawlessness in California, as stated by President Donald Trump.
Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth announced that the military would remain in the city for approximately two months to quell unrest caused by violent groups such as rioters, looters, and troublemakers, amidst the immigration protests.
On Friday, protests against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) erupted, with demonstrators capitalizing on several police operations in Los Angeles. They took to the streets, setting vehicles ablaze and rallying against what they perceive as unjust deportations.
Downtown store owners are furious because destructive looters persistently attack their businesses as the protests carry on.
On Tuesday, Trump hinted at using the Insurrection Act, as he fiercely criticized the “poor individuals” and “agitators” whom he claimed were on the brink of causing the city to erupt in flames.
As a die-hard supporter, I’m all about backing our leader’s moves, and let me tell you, I wholeheartedly endorse his choice to dispatch 700 Marines together with the California National Guard to LA. To any skepticism thrown my way regarding Governor Gavin Newsom’s assertion that this deployment intensified the predicament, I can only say that it doesn’t faze me in the slightest.
He didn’t dismiss the possibility of utilizing his command over military forces to quell unrest whenever he deems necessary.
If a rebellion occurs, I would undoubtedly use it. Time will tell, but let me say, the previous night and the one before that were extremely difficult for me.
In a spontaneous gathering at the Oval Office with his staff, Trump stated that if the national guard wasn’t dispatched promptly, Los Angeles could currently be engulfed in flames.
