Aussie Influencer is locked out of Paris Fashion Week after committing the ultimate faux pas: ‘So sad!’

Australian fashion influencer Elle Ferguson was devastated to learn she couldn’t attend Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday.

The 40-year-old actress, known for her role on Block, posted a video online showing herself watching the Miu Miu fashion show on her iPhone while riding in a car.

She wrote in the caption that they were stuck in traffic and disappointed to have missed the show, but they were broadcasting live from the car instead.

Elle was lucky enough to get into the exclusive event and later posted stunning photos of herself arriving.

She described feeling like she was living in a fantasy, sharing photos of herself in Paris at the Miu Miu SS26 show, complete with sparkly socks.

This follows a response from Elle after she faced significant criticism for a fashion mistake: wearing a very revealing dress designed by Loewe.

I was really surprised to see some of the comments after she posted that video of herself in the dress back in August. So many people were saying it just didn’t look good on her – things like ‘unflattering,’ ‘uncomfortable,’ and even ‘hideous.’ It was a bit harsh, honestly, but I guess everyone has an opinion!

She defended her viral sartorial moment, calling the piece the ‘most beautiful dress’.  

Elle shared with The Daily Telegraph that when she wore the dress, she felt incredibly fortunate to be experiencing Jonathan Anderson’s final collection for Loewe.

Oh my gosh, I was SO excited just thinking about finally getting to try on the dress! And when I heard it was in Sydney… it felt like it was meant to be! It was such a special opportunity, I honestly felt like I was dreaming. It was everything!

She said she adored the dress, and still does. She remembered putting it on and feeling incredibly proud, and her fiancé, Joel Patful, loved it as well.

Elle pointed out that art is a matter of opinion and shouldn’t be used to put others down.

Art is meant to spark discussion, but there’s no excuse for hurtful or critical comments, especially when directed at someone simply for their choice of clothing, like a dress, she explained.

Oh my gosh, you guys, have you *seen* it?! Loewe’s Fall 2025 collection has this dress… this *amazing* dress! It’s got this incredible neckline that just *drops*, and the waist is all layered and flouncy with this peplum thing. I’m absolutely obsessed, I need it in my life!

She shared that the lilac Loewe dress is even more stunning in person. She was thrilled to see Jonathan Anderson’s latest collection up close and loved trying on the pieces. She expressed gratitude to the Loewe team and MCM PR for the experience.

People quickly commented on Elle’s appearance, criticizing her outfit and saying it wasn’t flattering.

Someone commented that the dress itself wasn’t very flattering, and wouldn’t look good on anyone, regardless of who wore it. They clarified they weren’t commenting on the person, just the dress.

Despite the divide in opinion over the dress, Elle found a silver lining behind the viral post.

The influencer recently told Sunday Confidential that her Instagram posts have become much more popular, receiving 8.2 million views in just one month.
