Aussie Influencer devastated as her home is firebombed in alleged targeted arson attack

An Australian social media personality expressed her grief after her home in Melbourne was set ablaze in a suspected targeted incident, happening when she was vacationing in Bali.

On Sunday evening, Caitlin Lyndon (also recognized as ‘fitmum’ online) was socializing with friends. At 2 a.m., she received a phone call notifying her about a fire incident.

The police in Victoria are treating the fire in Sandhurst with suspicion, as they are now probing the situation following accounts of two individuals hastily leaving the area in a vehicle of unknown color.

Later, a car was discovered engulfed in flames, and authorities are currently examining whether these fires might be connected, as stated by the Victorian Police.

Caitlin’s house suffered significant damage, causing her to collapse on the spot when she heard the phone ring.

‘I cannot fathom that somebody would do this to me,’ she told The Daily Telegraph.

It’s unfortunate that everyone might have adversaries, but it’s hard to fathom a situation where someone could have upset others so severely that their own house, along with their possessions, would be set ablaze, affecting them and their child.

She remarked, “It seems likely that the Victoria Police will uncover who’s responsible, so I’ll just allow them to handle the situation.

She had only moved into the house two months prior.

In an Instagram post, Caitlin described that her home had security cameras installed, however, they were turned off before the incident occurred.

She expressed her confusion about where to begin and added that despite living in a vast Karen neighborhood, she still found the situation quite delightful.

‘I didn’t even think you could shut down CCTV so these c**ts are just dogs.’

As a lifestyle expert, I’d put it this way: I’m profoundly thankful that my son and pets are unharmed because they’re the priceless treasures in my life. Although replacing our furniture and possessions is feasible, nothing can compensate for the irreplaceable bond we share as a family, which I cannot replace.

She went on saying: “In all my life, I’ve never yearned to embrace my little one as tightly as I do now. It is during moments like these that the true hues of genuine friends and family shine brightest.

I don’t hesitate to express my feelings, including crying, because you should know that I put in a lot of hard work to achieve what I did. Even if I’ve lost everything and you’ve caused so much destruction in my life, I will rebuild, but my son doesn’t deserve the pain he’s experiencing.”

In this version, I removed the explicit use of profanity and made the sentence more straightforward and clear. Additionally, I added a bit of clarity to the last statement by specifying that the speaker is referring to their son experiencing pain rather than the entire life being ruined for him.

Caitlin also shared a photo to her Instagram story on Monday of the damage caused to her home.

‘My home,’ she wrote alongside a crying emoji.
