As an ardent observer of the influencer scene, I find myself both amused and baffled by Ruby Tuesday Matthews’ latest confession – she’s never taken a train ride Down Under! At 31, one would think that such an icon of opulence and extravagance would have traversed the land on more than just a private jet or luxury yacht.

On Monday, the stylish social media personality Ruby Tuesday Matthews from Byron Bay admitted that she’s never hopped on an Australian train ride.

The mother of three, aged 31, known for posting pictures showcasing her luxurious living, recently updated her Instagram with a photo from within a train compartment, sharing that this was her inaugural journey by rail in Australia, referring to it as “slumming it.”

In the image, taken by the Instagram monitoring account instagram.updates.au, Ruby could be seen appreciating the Sydney Harbour Bridge vista from behind the glass.

“At age 31, experiencing my first train ride in Australia – accompanied by a mix of laughter and tears!” (Emoji represented as a smiley face followed by a tear drop.)

In 2020, Ruby found herself in unfavorable news headlines as she delayed a Jetstar flight by dining on expensive oysters at an upscale eatery.

In my role as a lifestyle enthusiast, I was all set to jet off from the charming Byron Bay to vibrant Sydney in the early afternoon, but alas, a pesky technical hiccup held up our departure.

Jetstar requested passengers to wait at the airport as they arranged for an engineer to travel from the Gold Coast. They anticipate the revised departure time will probably be around 7:30 PM on the same day.

Instead, Ruby and her travel partner opted to depart from the airport for a quick meal at a seaside eatery, while some chose to dine inside the airport.

Later on, the influencer shared a video on Instagram where she’s seen enjoying oysters with a companion. She titled this clip: “Delayed flight, what a bummer for me.”

Instead of keeping them waiting, she delayed the departure time of the plane, causing frustration among the passengers who vocalized their displeasure as she boarded thirty minutes past the scheduled takeoff.

The video evidence captures passengers exclaiming things like “How was the oyster!” and “What a beautiful day!” upon her arrival at the plane.

Caught up in my excitement, I couldn’t help but check the clock every few seconds, my heart pounding with anticipation. The delicious meal with my partner momentarily forgotten, a message flashed across the screen – the engineer had arrived early! With a surge of adrenaline, I knew that meant our flight would board at 6:20pm instead. My pulse quickened as I imagined the joyous reunion just hours away.

In my role as a lifestyle expert, I’d like to share an experience I had recently that wasn’t ideal. I found myself stranded on the runway, waiting for what seemed like eternity due to a peculiar situation. It turned out that Jetstar was diligently trying to locate a group of passengers who were unaccounted for, among them my traveling companion, Ruby, and her friend.

The employee informed her that she should head back to the airport immediately because the plane was prepared for departure.

As a former single mother who also had a child with two partners, I can empathize with the unique challenges faced by this brunette beauty. Raising three children – Rocket, Mars, and Holiday – with her ex-partner Ryan Heywood, while simultaneously navigating a new relationship with Shannan Dodd, must be a delicate balancing act. It takes a special kind of strength and resilience to juggle the responsibilities of motherhood, partnership, and personal growth all at once. I admire this woman for her tenacity and ability to make it work for her family.
