Aussie Billionaire Anthony Pratt Turns Heads in Bold, Eccentric Outfit at the Met Gala!
Known as one of Australia’s wealthiest individuals, Anthony Pratt, caused quite a stir when he made an appearance at the Met Gala held in New York City on Monday evening.
The billionaire cardboard box magnate, 65, recently relocated from Australia to the US.
In a situation where it’s customary to be bold, the Visy’s head honcho was undoubtedly eager to leave a strong impact.
Showcasing his dedication to recycling and sustainability prominently, Anthony ventured out wearing a suit adorned with clear messages.
The vibrant combination of green, gold, and white numbers were adorned with the recycling logo and the phrase ‘Pratt 100% Recycled’ was clearly visible.
Apart from that, Anthony donned a collar-styled dark green shirt bearing the same emblem, and a coordinating tie too.
Finishing his eye-catching outfit, Anthony adorned his head with a moss green felt bowler hat.
To make things even more intriguing, the billionaire completed his eccentric appearance with a vibrant pair of Brooks running shoes in various colors.
Anthony accessorised with a wooden cane to complete the bizarre ensemble.
The businessman was ecstatic to have the opportunity to share his recycling message with the high-fashion elite at the dazzling event.
Beaming broadly as he posed, Anthony was not afraid to flaunt his unique sense of sartorial style.
His appearance at the Met Gala follows the announcement by the Visy chairperson that they will be investing more than 2 billion dollars to revamp their recycling and remanufacturing projects.
The news broke following his 2024 Met Gala, where he made an entrance in a vibrant pink coat, reinforcing the same sustainability message.

He revealed in November he had permanently relocated to the US.
He shared on LinkedIn that since the early ’90s, his company (Visy in Australia & New Zealand, Pratt Industries in the U.S.) has established a substantial presence in America by investing in approximately 70 factories and generating around 12,000 jobs.
‘We decided it was time to live in America because my family are all US citizens,’ he said.
‘I will remain Chairman of Visy Australia, and will be returning to Australia on a regular basis.’
During his previous term, Anthony frequently expressed his support for Trump, commending him on various issues through tweets (previously known as Twitter) and even purchasing large advertisements in publications like the Wall Street Journal.
In 2017, it is said that he joined Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club in Florida for an estimated $500,000 membership fee, leading to their friendship.
At an Australian event, he emphasized that the most important aspect is membership, as reported by The Australian Jewish News.
1. “Do I meet with President Trump about two or three times per year, discussing our manufacturing company during those encounters?”
2. “On average, do I come face-to-face with President Trump twice or thrice annually, and in these meetings, we discuss our manufacturing enterprise?”
3. “Is it that I have a meeting with President Trump approximately two to three times yearly, where we talk about our manufacturing business?”
4. “Does our conversation revolve around the manufacturing business when I encounter President Trump roughly twice or thrice a year?”
5. “In our annual get-togethers, which number between two and three times, do we discuss the intricacies of our manufacturing business with President Trump?”
Choose the one that sounds most natural to you!

‘My early support resonated with Trump, who takes things very personally, and he remembers it.’
In 2023, even though he was friends with the U.S. President, Donald Trump publicly referred to Anthony as an ‘unusual individual with red hair.’
The phone call occurred following allegations that the President shared confidential information regarding U.S. nuclear submarines, as well as personal conversations he had with the leaders of Ukraine and Iraq, with a prominent entrepreneur.
Trump posted on Truth Social: ‘The New York Times story, which was leaked by Deranged Jack Smith and the DOJ allegedly targeting Biden’s political opponents, about an unusual individual from Australia called Anthony Pratt, is false news.’
As a lifestyle connoisseur speaking here, I’d like to share an interesting fact: Although I now reside in the United States, according to Forbes’ 2025 Rich List, Anthony is ranked as the eighth wealthiest individual in Australia. His remarkable net worth, estimated at approximately $8.7 billion, truly speaks volumes about his financial acumen and success Down Under.
