Aussie A-lister’s daughter makes red carpet debut – but do you know who her famous mother is?

The bond between this Australian A-list actress and her mini-me teenage daughter Sage was palpable, making it a truly special occasion.

On Sunday evening at the AFI Fest in Los Angeles, an accomplished young actress from Australia – who’s a big name in showbiz – caught everyone’s eye on the red carpet, accompanied by her miniature version, her teenage daughter.

At the red carpet event for her latest film Juror #2, the seasoned actress showcased elegance in a long, floral gown by Zimmerman, standing proudly next to her 16-year-old daughter Sage, who was also present.

A pair of mothers and daughters appeared to be thoroughly enjoying themselves while striking a pose at the special occasion honoring Clint Eastwood’s new film.

Indeed, that was Toni Collette, age 51, the renowned actress from Muriel’s Wedding, along with her striking young daughter who resembles her.

Toni posted a treasured image on Instagram, snuggling with Sage at the gathering, and accompanied it with touching sentiments in the caption.

Experiencing the debut of Juror #2 was truly remarkable. What made it even more exceptional was getting to enjoy it together with my precious daughter, Sage.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but feel a profound sense of excitement and anticipation about Juror #2. This is said to be Clint Eastwood’s final directorial endeavor at 94 years young, and according to The Hollywood Reporter, it’s his one last project aimed at gracefully retiring with dignity. It feels like he’s preparing for a grand farewell ride into the sunset, and I can hardly wait to witness this epic conclusion!

Toni shares Sage and her son Arlo, 13, with her ex-husband Dave Galafassi. 

In December 2022, following nearly two decades of marriage, the actress who played the lead in About A Boy officially parted ways with her husband, who is 46 years old at present.

When the separation occurred, images surfaced showing Dave deeply embracing another woman in a passionate kiss on Manly Beach in Sydney.

After reaching out to Toni’s representatives regarding the pictures, they shared a joint announcement on Instagram just a few hours later that the couple had parted ways.

In a spirit of humility and appreciation, we would like to share that we are choosing to separate. Our decision is mutual, and we remain respectful and considerate towards one another as we move forward.

“To us, our children are extremely valuable and significant, and we will keep moving forward as a family, though perhaps with a slightly changed form.

In 2002, they crossed paths for the first time at the unveiling of Gelbison’s band, Galafassi’s debut album Metal Detector, held in Sydney. Their paths intersected once more within a short span, at a lively house gathering only a few days after that initial meeting.

Back in early 2003, I couldn’t believe my luck when I witnessed the beautiful Buddhist wedding ceremony of my idols, held on Toni’s property in Berry, nestled along the stunning south coast of New South Wales. It was just a year since they first crossed paths, and yet here I was, basking in their love less than 12 months later!
