Audi Offers “Sport Racing Legends” to Collectors

Audi is providing collectors with an exceptional opportunity to acquire pieces of motorsport heritage. For the initial time, these factory prototypes stemming from its iconic Le Mans and DTM racing projects are being made available for purchase to a select number of international buyers. Through the “Audi Sport racing legends” initiative, these chassis from the brand’s triumphant competitions will be reconditioned to their original specifications and offered in a ready-to-drive state.

In Neuburg an der Donau, Audi introduced for sale their first two racing cars: the RS 5 DTM’s chassis number 107 and the Audi R18 e-tron quattro’s chassis number 207. These are both successful racecars; Timo Scheider drove the RS 5 to victory at Hockenheim in 2015, while the R18, driven by Romain Dumas, Loïc Duval and Marc Gené, claimed a WEC win at Spa in 2012.

Purchasers are not merely acquiring automobiles; they’re securing entry into Audi Sport’s celebrated racing history. As Rolf Michl, Managing Director of Audi Sport GmbH, stated, “Our clients join an exclusive group.” They reap the benefits of our motor racing knowledge and receive all-encompassing aid. Each vehicle is equipped with complete technical support, spare parts, and guidance from original designers.

This year, Audi intends to exhibit its program at significant automotive gatherings such as the Jim Clark Revival in Germany, Le Mans Classic in France, and Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK. The initial distribution is slated for this summer, marking the beginning of a fresh phase in Audi’s motorsport legends’ journey.
