Aubrey Plaza looks stylish in black leather look at Khaite NYFW show one year after husband Jeff Baena’s death

Aubrey Plaza was spotted at the Khaite fashion show during New York Fashion Week on Saturday.

The actress, 41, paired a black mini dress with a leather jacket that ended mid-thigh. This appearance came after the death of her husband, Jeff Baena, who passed away in January 2025.

She added sheer black tights and sleek leather boots for the star-studded affair. 

Plaza wore her thick, glossy, brunette locks in natural bouncy curls that fell past her shoulders.

The look was complemented by bold gold hoop earrings and two layered delicate necklaces.

She looked lovely with subtle makeup that made her brown eyes stand out, and she completed the look with a muted brick-colored lipstick.

Just over a year ago, Baena’s body was discovered after he committed suicide at age 47.

According to an autopsy report from the LA County Medical Examiner obtained by DailyMail.com, Plaza and the screenwriter had been living apart since September 2024.

She was living in New York when he was found in Los Angeles on January 3. 

Last August, actress Aubrey Plaza discussed her experience with grief during an appearance on the podcast “Good Hang,” hosted by her former “Parks and Recreation” co-star, Amy Poehler.

I’m truly happy to be here with you right now. I’m doing okay and present in this moment.

I’m thankful for everything, and generally doing alright, though each day still presents its challenges.

Plaza described a constant sense of underlying negativity, saying it felt like a vast and ever-present darkness she could always perceive.

I often feel drawn to fully immerse myself in it, to really experience it. Other times, I prefer to simply observe, or even distance myself. But no matter what I do, it remains a constant presence.

Australian actress Elizabeth Debicki was also at Saturday’s fashion show.

The 35-year-old actress chose a simple yet elegant outfit: a long velvet dress, black sheer tights, and pointed heels.

Her blonde hair was parted on the side at fell over her collarbone in textured waves. 

In September 2024, Elizabeth Debicki received an Emmy Award for her performance as Princess Diana in the series The Crown, winning the award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

She portrayed the late Princess of Wales in the fifth and sixth seasons.

Cristin Milioti, a 40-year-old actress, also attended the New York Fashion Week presentation, wearing all black.

She looked sleek in wide-leg trousers and pointed-toe heels, adding a fur-collared bomber jacket.

Grace Gummer looked chic and glamorous in a black leather trench coat and sunglasses. 

The actress, 39, and daughter of Meryl Streep, wore a stylish gray dress with a high neckline.

Her dark hair was parted on the side and slicked back into a low updo.

And her look was rounded out with pointed-toe black heels.

Gummer’s younger sister Louisa Jacobson, 34, was also at the Khaite show. 

She modeled wide-leg black leather pants and a structured, thigh-grazing olive green coat. 

British actress Gemma Chan, 43, followed the dress code as she arrived in a sleeveless black dress.

She completed the look with pointed-toe, black leather heeled boots and a pair of onyx sunglasses.

Chan’s lustrous dark hair was parted on the side, and styled in a silky blowout by Ben Skervin. 

Christopher Abbott, 40, sported a black sweater, bomber jacket, and gray trousers.

The Wold Man star finished the outfit with black footwear.

He looked handsome with a mustache and his dark hair shaved on the sides and longer on top.
