As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must say the announcement of Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land is music to my ears! Having dabbled in several RPGs and crafting games throughout my gaming career, this title seems like a perfect blend of both worlds.
For the first time on Xbox, the newest installment in the Atelier series titled Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land, jointly developed by Koei Tecmo and Gust, has been officially announced.
In March 2025, the game Atelier Yumia is set in a world where alchemy is shunned as wicked and forbidden. You play as protagonist Yumia Liessfeldt, joining forces with a group of allies to unearth the reasons behind the Aladissian Empire’s collapse. Aladiss, once a vibrant realm of alchemy, has been devastated by a catastrophe. It will be your task to uncover the events that led to this calamity.
On your adventure, you’ll strive to discover the hidden secrets of alchemy, delving deeper into the past of Yumia’s deceased mother, a secretive alchemist. In a vast, varied landscape consisting of various ecosystems, you’ll collect resources and combine them to create new items. Notably, the ‘Simple Synthesis’ feature allows for crafting items directly in the environment without needing to return to your base.
In addition to yourself, you’ll also have the opportunity to create, outfit, and style your own base. The game “Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land” is set for release on 21st March 2025 across various platforms including Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The game will offer Japanese voices accompanied by English, French, German, and Spanish subtitles.
