Astronaut Katy Perry Defies Haters with Space Moves on Tour
As I graced the stage at the CDMX Arena in Mexico City, Mexico during my Lifetimes Tour 2025, I couldn’t help but share a message of positivity and empowerment with those who may have been less than supportive of me along my journey. Here’s what I had to say:
“To the ones who doubted me, underestimated me, or tried to bring me down – tonight is for you. This is a testament that love conquers all, and we can rise above negativity with grace and determination. Let this be a reminder that your words may hurt, but they will never define my dreams or my destiny.”

The well-known pop star, aged 40, had just returned from a contentious journey to space aboard Blue Origin, an event that has drawn both ridicule and criticism from various quarters.
Despite the naysayers trying to knock me off my game, I, an unapologetic fanatic, wasn’t going to let that dampen my spirit. Instead, the Dark Horse hitmaker took to the stage like a cosmic superstar, reimagining space choreography that left me breathless at times, as she defied gravity with her aerial acrobatics.
‘Have you ever been told that your aspirations were foolish or unrealistic?’
Perry showcased several striking ensembles during her performance, such as a shiny silver metallic onesie and a graceful, ethereal white gown.
It comes after Perry announced that she has been forced to cancel two major shows.
On Monday, she announced via Instagram that unfortunately, the concerts scheduled for Guadalajara, Mexico, on May 1st and 2nd had to be canceled because the stadium where they were supposed to take place didn’t get constructed by the deadline.
Regrettably, it appears the Arena Guadalajara won’t be finished in time for the performances slated for next week, including my shows on May 1st and 2nd.
Last week, I dispatched my team to the Arena to explore if there were any possibilities for us to prepare for the event, but upon their arrival, it became clear that the venue wasn’t equipped or safe enough to host our show or audience.
I truly wish I could resolve this issue, but it seems it’s out of my hands. You all have been an incredible part of my journey, and we’ve shared such a beautiful adventure together. I can’t wait to find ways to create something remarkable for our fans in Guadalajara in the time ahead.

The planned performances in Guadalajara were scheduled for Katy Perry’s third stop on her jam-packed Mexican stretch of the Lifetimes world tour, following three shows in Mexico City and two in Monterrey.
After starting her U.S. tour in Houston on May 7th, she will give 25 performances across the country, with stops in both Australia and Canada interspersed throughout.
Following her European tour, she has an eagerly awaited visit planned at the O2 for two performances on October 13th and 14th.
