Assassin’s Creed Shadows suffers another setback
Assassin’s Creed Shadows suffers yet another setback and is delayed to March 2025.
Despite encountering significant criticism from the gaming community, Ubisoft’s upcoming Assassin’s Creed title, Shadows, continues to pique people’s curiosity globally. As the 14th major installment in the series, Shadows transports players to 16th-century Japan and revolves around the experiences of two primary characters: Yasuke, an African samurai, and Naoe, a female shinobi. However, it’s not until later that these characters take center stage.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows delayed again
Following the unveiling of the initial trailer for Shadows in May 2024, it was originally scheduled for a November release that same year. However, Ubisoft announced a delay in the Assassin’s Creed Shadows game in September, moving its launch to February 14 this year. This postponement also resulted in the removal of their previously proposed season pass, refunded pre-orders, and guaranteed that future pre-orders would receive the first expansion for free.
Although the new launch date is approaching in less than a month, Ubisoft has recently announced that they are pushing back the release of Assassin’s Creed Shadows until March 20, 2025. This additional delay, as stated, aims to incorporate feedback from the community and ensure the game is released in a well-finished condition.
As a dedicated fan, I must admit it’s a tough blow for Ubisoft with the announcement of yet another delay for Assassin’s Creed: Shadows. This news certainly doesn’t help ease the anticipation among us eagerly waiting gamers. However, if the game manages to stick to its new release date, we’ll be expecting an exceptional launch experience – one that makes up for the wait. Here’s hoping Ubisoft delivers a triumphant comeback for themselves and the Assassin’s Creed franchise; only time will tell.
