It seems some images suggesting a battle pass for the upcoming “Assassin’s Creed Shadows” have been leaked, hinting at rewards you could potentially earn within the game when it is set to release in February. Notably, this would mark the first instance of a battle pass in an Assassin’s Creed game. If these leaks are verified, the inclusion of a battle pass might seem somewhat unusual.
Based on images shared by Fraxiswinning and posted on Reddit (which Ubisoft has requested be removed due to copyright issues, indicating their authenticity), the battle pass will reportedly offer a free tier of rewards. These rewards can be earned through daily missions and accessed via a new Animus hub. The free-tier rewards are expected to include weapons and cosmetic items.
Fundamentally, it appears that much of it resembles content accessible through the Ubisoft Connect app and in-game marketplace. Some items are earned by completing tasks, while others can be bought with real currency. The leaked pictures hint at futuristic weapon skins and armor, mythical mounts, and resource packs for use within the game.
The rumor hints at a battle pass with 20 temporary rewards that can be unlocked using ‘Data Fragments’, and it’s suggested that Season 1 might be called ‘Eye in the Dark’. It’s essential to note that this information hasn’t been officially verified, but if true, these elements could be part of the Shadows’ Animus hub. For now, we can expect the game to operate within the expansive Assassin’s Creed Infinity headquarters.
