- Releasing two exclusive collaborations, the pieces include the JJJJound x GEL-QUANTUM 360 AMP and two colorways of the SHUSHU/TONG x GEL-KINETIC™ FLUENT
- The collaborations are to be exclusively revealed at the pop-up on June 25 during Paris Fashion Week
In the bustling atmosphere of Paris Fashion Week, ASICS Sportstyle has introduced a calming pop-up experience. This sanctuary, rooted in its Japanese origins and “Sound Mind, Sound Body” ethos, provides a moment of peace for visitors. Thoughtfully created with Japanese minimalism in mind, this tranquil space encourages pausing and reconnection. It’s the ideal setting to debut two significant seasonal styles: the GEL-QUANTUM 360™ AMP and the GEL-KINETIC™ FLUENT shoes.
In collaboration once again, ASICS and Canadian brand JJJJound have unveiled their fourth joint project, focusing on a refined interpretation of the renowned GEL-QUANTUM 360™ 1 AMP. This partnership pays tribute to the model’s “vis-tech” legacy by toning down the color palette to highlight its advanced technology.
The shoe boasts an all-white upper, paired with an off-white midsole and back-heel overlays. Subtle reflective white webbing eyelets serve as the only accent, maintaining focus on the model’s groundbreaking midsole construction, which includes visible GEL™ and TRUSSTIC™ technology.
The GEL-QUANTUM 360 AMP marks the tenth anniversary of the GEL-QUANTUM 360™ series, initially introduced in 2015.
In an intriguing amalgamation of design styles, ASICS has partnered with SHUSHU/TONG to reveal the GEL-KINETIC™ FLUENT sneaker. This partnership skillfully combines SHUSHU/TONG’s distinctive feminine and defiant flair with the GEL-KINETIC™ FLUENT’s cutting-edge structure and urban edge. The design showcases heavy influences from SHUSHU/TONG’s iconic lace detail, embodying a delicate craftsmanship infused with hidden tension – a “contrasting harmony” where softness intertwines with rigidity. The new sneakers reflect the sleek aesthetic of the 2010s, featuring intricate handcrafted lace on the upper with layered textures that accentuate soft lines. ASICS Stripes beneath wave-like openwork lace offer a nostalgic charm. Drawing inspiration from the GEL-KINSEI™ 4, the sneaker incorporates FF BLAST™ PLUS foam cushioning, GEL™ and FOAM technologies in the midsole for superior shock absorption and rebound, and Scutoid GEL™ technology in the heel for all-day comfort.
Starting on June 25, the JJJJound collaboration will have an exclusive preview at the ASICS PFW Pop-Up store. It won’t be available online on JJJJound.com until June 26 (12 PM EST). After that, it will become available worldwide through ASICS and select retailers on July 3 for €210 EUR. The SHUSHU/TONG x ASICS GEL-KINETIC™ FLUENT shoes come in two unique colors, Silver Blue and Ink Blue. Similarly, they’ll have an exclusive preview at the Paris Fashion Week Pop-Up store on June 25. A global release is planned for August 9 at selected retailers, with a price tag of €220 EUR.
