Ashton Kutcher, 47, makes rare comment on ex-wife Demi Moore, 63, after she savaged him in her memoir

Ashton Kutcher recently shared some personal thoughts about his former wife, Demi Moore, years after their divorce, in a rare public statement.

They began dating in 2003 and married two years later, drawing a lot of attention due to their 15-year age difference. After eight years of marriage, they announced their separation in 2011 and officially divorced in 2013.

In her 2019 memoir, Inside Out, Demi Moore, now 63, strongly criticized her relationship with Ashton Kutcher. She accused him of cheating on her multiple times and revealed she relapsed after 20 years of sobriety when he questioned the reality of alcoholism.

Three years ago, she appeared in a playful AT&T commercial alongside Mila Kunis, who is now married to Ashton Kutcher. In the ad, Kunis jokingly suggested that the two actresses shared quite a bit in common.

Ashton Kutcher has also praised Michelle Moore, specifically highlighting her performance in the 2024 horror film, The Substance, which earned her an Oscar nomination.

He told Entertainment Tonight he was incredibly proud of Demi’s performance in ‘The Substance,’ which earned her a lot of recognition. He said she did an amazing job.

The topic of the drug use was brought up during the interview because people were drawing parallels between the film and Ashton Kutcher’s new series, The Beauty, which is directed by Ryan Murphy.

Murphy’s new show centers on a disease spread through sexual contact that initially makes people more attractive, but eventually causes serious health problems.

The strange illness is discovered when several supermodels suddenly die, prompting an investigation by FBI agents, portrayed by Evan Peters and Rebecca Hall in the FX series.

The film The Substance features Moore as a struggling, older actress who uses an experimental drug to create a younger duplicate of herself, played by Margaret Qualley. The catch? Every week, their minds switch bodies.

Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore faced a lot of public ridicule during their relationship, largely due to their significant age gap of over ten years.

Before his divorce from Moore was finalized, Ashton Kutcher began a relationship with Mila Kunis, 42. The two had previously worked together on the TV show That ’70s Show.

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis got married in 2015 and now have two children: a daughter named Wyatt, who is 11, and a son named Dimitri, who is 9.

Four years after their split, Moore released her revealing memoir, Inside Out, where she described her marriage to Kutcher with harsh criticism.

She claimed he had cheated on her two times and said they had engaged in two sexual encounters with another person. She also admitted to being intensely drawn to him.

The actress, known for her role in A Few Good Men, shared that she relapsed into substance use after experiencing a miscarriage six months into her pregnancy with Ashton Kutcher’s child.

Demi Moore relapsed after two decades of sobriety following a comment made by Ashton Kutcher questioning the reality of alcoholism, according to Moore. She stated that Kutcher’s remark – ‘I don’t know if alcoholism is a real thing’ – triggered her return to drinking as a way to deal with her emotional pain.

When Moore started promoting her book and the stories about Kutcher gained attention, he responded on Twitter.

He shared that he almost sent a sarcastic tweet, but then he looked at his family – his son, daughter, and wife – and decided not to. He wrote this the day his book, Inside Out, came out.

A year later, he sounded much more friendly, saying there were no hard feelings between him and Moore. He explained they weren’t close friends, but he still kept in touch with her daughters from her marriage to Bruce Willis, as he shared on the WTF with Marc Maron podcast.

I’ve always admired how genuinely close Demi Moore and Bruce Willis have remained, even after their divorce. They share three wonderful daughters – Rumer, who’s 37, Scout, 34, and Tallulah, 31 – and it’s heartwarming to see they’ve prioritized a friendly relationship for the sake of their family.

Bruce Willis’s family, including his daughters and current wife Emma Heming, have come together to support him as he battles dementia. They are all rallying around him, Emma, and their daughters Mabel and Evelyn during this difficult time.
