Ashley Tisdale ‘squeezes’ into High School Musical costumes on 20th anniversary of show… after ‘toxic’ drama with Hilary Duff

Ashley Tisdale is revisiting her early Hollywood the past.

The actress shared photos on social media Tuesday of her vibrant costumes from the popular 2006 film High School Musical, which was directed by Kenny Ortega.

It is the 20the anniversary of the film.

The 40-year-old actress, known for her blonde hair, starred as Sharpay Evans alongside Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens, with Corbin Bleu playing a key supporting role.

Tisdale visited her storage unit to get some old outfits. One was a blue feathered dress paired with silver heels. She also had a pink top, purple skirt, and silver jacket as another option.

The actress shared on Instagram that even after 20 years and having two children, she can still fit into the same clothes.

Ashley Tisdale posted a video on Instagram with a playful caption: ‘You can take me away from East High…but I’ll always be Sharpay!’ ✨

She had the song Bop To The Top playing in the background.

She shared a collection of old photos from the movies and wrote, ‘Twenty years ago, we couldn’t have imagined how things would turn out.’

‘I love you, Sharpay. And let me just say… we’re still looking fabulous!’ she continued.

High school basketball star Troy Bolton (Zac Efron) meets and falls for shy Gabriella Montez (Vanessa Hudgens) at a karaoke night during the holidays. Back at school, they unexpectedly audition for the school musical, much to the dismay of Sharpay Evans (Tisdale), who tries to sabotage their chances. Troy and Gabriella have to balance preparing for the musical with their commitments to basketball and academic competitions.

The High School Musical franchise includes three original movies, a spin-off film called Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure, international adaptations, a Disney+ series titled HSMTMTS, and a stage musical.

This follows a recent controversy involving Tisdale and a mothers’ group. According to People magazine, the disagreement was due to differing beliefs and principles.

Ashley Tisdale had a very public disagreement with several well-known friends, like Hilary Duff, Gaby Dalkin, Meghan Trainor, and Mandy Moore, and now sources are revealing what caused the conflict.

According to a source, Ashley publicly revealed a difference in core beliefs as the reason for the split. The source added that friendships sometimes naturally fade, and there wasn’t a need for a big, dramatic message to end things.

Ashley Tisdale, a mother to Jupiter, four, and Emerson, 15 months, recently wrote about ending a friendship with a group of mothers she described as negative in a blog post.

Let me tell you something I wish someone had warned me about: mom groups can sometimes become surprisingly negative. It’s not that the women are bad people, but the group environment can unfortunately morph into something resembling high school mean-girl drama. I’ve seen it happen, and honestly, experienced it myself. It’s a real thing to be aware of when you’re navigating new motherhood and looking for support.

She said people had group chats she wasn’t part of, and they sometimes went out together without inviting her.

In a recent essay for The Cut, she shared how she began to feel left out, explaining that she initially felt like she’d found a close-knit group of friends. However, she started to question that feeling when she noticed she wasn’t included in some get-togethers. She found out about these events through Instagram, which showed her photos and stories of everyone having fun without her.

I remember being at one of her dinner parties and realizing I was always seated at the very end of the table, separate from the other women. It was becoming clear they were intentionally leaving me out, and I was starting to feel excluded.

The actress responded to questions about her initial blog post in a new essay, criticizing people online for trying to identify the women mentioned in it.

She mentioned that this topic has sparked a lot of amateur online investigation, with people trying to act like detectives. She cautioned against it, saying that anyone who thinks they’ve figured it out is likely very wrong.
