Ashlee Simpson celebrates 20th anniversary of her debut album Autobiography alongside husband Evan Ross as she wows fans with performance in West Hollywood
As a dedicated fan of Ashlee Simpson Ross, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia and excitement as I read about her recent celebration of the 20th anniversary of her iconic debut album “Autobiography.” I remember listening to that album on repeat when it first came out, and “Pieces of Me” was a staple in my music rotation. Seeing Ashlee looking gorgeous and radiant at the event held at Beaches Tropicana nightclub in West Hollywood brings back so many memories.
On Saturday night, Ashlee Simpson Ross marked the 20-year anniversary of her renowned debut album “Autobiography” by celebrating with her husband, Evan Ross.
At the Beaches Tropicana nightclub in West Hollywood, Jessica Simpson’s sister dazzled with her stunning appearance.
The “Pieces of Me” singer, aged 39, donned a black vest featuring a V-neckline at the bottom, revealing skin around her midriff.
Black pants completed her look and she accessorized with an aughts-style black choker necklace.
Before the occurrence, Ashlee excitedly informed her followers that she would be releasing an expanded edition of her song “Autobiography” as new music.
On July 19, which marked the same date as the initial release of her 2004 album, the upgraded edition of her album became available.
“Twenty years have passed since the publication of Autobiography, I find that hard to believe,” Simpson expressed through People.
Reflecting on that period of my life, it was truly wonderful and so many things have since improved for the better. Revisiting this cherished memory brings me great joy.
An expanded version of the album features extra songs not originally included, such as Harder Every Day, Sorry, and Endless Summer, which were previously released internationally.
Pieces of Me, the biggest hit of Simpson’s career, has also been reissued with Dolby ATMOS sound.
In 2004, the song served as the lead single from Autobiography and reached fifth place on the Billboard 100. Meanwhile, the album made its entrance at the top of the Billboard Hot 200 chart upon its release.
I’ve had the pleasure of being married to Evan, the beloved son of the iconic Diana Ross, since 2014. Together, we’ve brought two beautiful children into the world – our daughter Jagger arrived in 2015, and our son Ziggy joined us in 2020.
Previously, the ex-MTV star was hitched to musician Pete Wentz from the years 2008 to 2011. They have a 13-year-old son named Bronx together.
On a 2018 episode of Watch What Happens Live, Ashlee and Evan opened up about their blended family.
‘I grew up with a big family, Evan shared. ‘I think it’s a beautiful thing.’
Regarding Pete, his former wife’s ex-partner, he remarked, “Our connection is fantastic. I deeply care for his son and hold him dear, but the boy belongs to Pete.”
After their divorce, Ashlee and Wentz have been jointly raising their son Bronx. Meanwhile, Wentz has welcomed two new children into his life with his partner Meagan Camper.
