Ashanti showed off her amazing physique while enjoying a sunny day at the beach with her and Nelly’s young son.

Singer Ashanti, 45, looked stunning in a pink swimsuit while vacationing in Barbados with her daughter, KK. She confidently showed off her figure and kept her baby close by her side.

The mother looked beautiful and at ease while enjoying time with her son. She laughed and playfully swung him around, loving his happy sounds.

She carefully placed him down so his little toes could touch the clear water, and they both enjoyed the warm sunshine and relaxing beach atmosphere.

The couple announced their engagement in April 2024 and welcomed their son, KK (Kareem Kenkaide Haynes), in July 2024.

Rapper Nelly is facing some criticism after revealing he doesn’t always handle all of his fatherly responsibilities, like changing diapers, during his vacations.

The famous singer, age 50, doesn’t get out of bed when his baby son needs him at night, according to a recent episode of the reality show ‘Nelly and Ashanti: We Belong Together’.

The rapper sparked some outrage when he revealed his daddy duties also don’t include diaper duty. 

The couple are parents to son Kareem, who will turn one on July 18. 

In a recent clip, Ashanti, 44, playfully scolds someone, saying it’s frustrating that they’ll still be sound asleep while he’s being very loud.

Nelly responded that he ‘doesn’t hear’ the baby crying.

‘It’s ridiculous,’ the Only U singer asserted, again.

‘It’s a gift, I guess,’ he retorted, adding,  ‘I’m blessed with that tune-out.’

I seriously lost it when I saw that clip! One person on The Shaderoom perfectly summed it up – when he asked if people are *really* up all night, I instantly thought, ‘That question alone deserves its own episode of *Snapped*!’ Like, the audacity! It was just… everything!

“This isn’t right,” someone else said. “A man shouldn’t be praised for doing so little. He acts like giving her a child is all she deserves.”

One viewer expressed frustration, saying it’s baffling that some men are proud of contributing nothing, and then question why women are increasingly uninterested in relationships with them.

During a recent discussion about his upcoming 54-city world tour, ‘Where’s the Party At,’ the singer hinted that Ashanti would be primarily responsible for childcare during that time.

Nelly told her, ‘Honestly, it’s up to you. I don’t have any feelings for him at all.’

In a video circulating online, the artist known as Air Force Ones jokingly stated that until his son, Kareem, can verbally express his needs – saying ‘I’m hungry’ and ‘I need to use the bathroom’ – Ashanti will be responsible for taking care of him.

Hot Boyz rapper, Hot, playfully suggested that Ashanti should enjoy her time with Nelly, joking that once their son starts walking and talking, he’ll be hanging out with his own friends.

‘So she’s a married single mom? Lol. Got it,’ commented a furious fan. 

‘Ashanti is a single married mom and I’m sorry for that for her.’ contended another.

One upset fan commented on Ashanti’s Instagram, saying the show revealed some surprising information and it wasn’t her fault, but rather Nelly’s. They suggested she might have been better off not releasing this particular project, but wished her the best anyway.

‘Girl u got ur baby leave him again,’ advised another. 

While promoting his Peacock show on Today, he shared a conversation he had with his wife before they had a child. He told her he was willing to support her having ‘as many [children] as you want,’ but jokingly added that chasing toddlers at his age wasn’t ideal, and they could hire ‘as many nannies as we can afford.’

A viewer expressed concern, saying it’s not about being able to hire help, but about the important bonding moments with your child – even the tough ones, like comforting them through late-night crying. They shared someone asked how anyone could endure those difficult moments, and they admitted they didn’t enjoy them at all.

Nelly has four children: Chanelle, 31, and Cornell III, 26, from a previous relationship with Channetta Valentine. He also lovingly raised and adopted his sister’s children, Shawn and Sydney, after she passed away in 2005.

Ashanti and Nelly began dating in 2003 and had a relationship that lasted, with periods of being together and apart, for about ten years. They eventually separated in 2013 and remained apart for another decade.

Ja Rule and Fat Joe came together again professionally in 2021 when they performed against each other in a Verzuz battle at Madison Square Garden.

It seems they had an instant connection! The couple secretly got married in December 2023 and then welcomed their son, Kareem, seven months later.

Nelly and their partner, who previously kept their relationship private, decided to share their lives on a reality show. In a blog post for Peacock, Nelly explained, ‘I thought it would be a good way to give our fans a more personal look at who we are.’

Ashanti said she likes the vehicle because it offers a unique view of things people don’t usually get to see.

“This is all new to me!” she exclaimed, noting that he had experience with performance and reality TV, having previously been on Dancing with the Stars and the show Real Husbands of Hollywood.
