As The World Turns co-stars settle their divorce after 10 years of marriage but will still have to work together on their new soap opera

Cady McClain and Jon Lindstrom, both known for their roles on The World Turns, have finalized their divorce. Despite this, they will continue to collaborate on their new soap opera, Beyond The Gates.

According to TMZ, the couple, who married on Valentine’s Day in 2014 and split in December 2023, has filed their divorce agreement with the court and is awaiting a judge’s approval to make the divorce final.

Court records show that McClain, 56, and Lindstrom, 68, have both decided not to request financial support from each other after their divorce, a common arrangement for celebrity couples.

The actress will keep her own belongings, like furniture and personal items, and Lindstrom will keep his. They will each maintain ownership of their separate assets.

Though they played a couple, Rosanna Cabot and Craig Montgomery, on the soap opera As The World Turns until it ended in 2010, actors McClain and Lindstrom did not have any children together.

Former spouses Lindstrom and McClain both became part of the cast of the CBS soap opera Beyond The Gates last year. Lindstrom plays Joey Armstrong, a charismatic casino owner, while McClain plays Pamela Curtis. They will continue to work together on the show, which premiered its second season on January 2nd.

I was so sad to see the news back in April 2024 that they were getting divorced. They both announced it on their Instagram pages, saying they were ending their 10-year marriage. It really came as a shock to me and a lot of their fans, I think.

They explained why they were getting divorced and let fans know they still wanted to remain friends.

McClain and Lindstrom acknowledged that their breakup wasn’t unexpected, noting they hadn’t been featuring each other on social media for some time.

We wanted to briefly share an update about our relationship. As you may have noticed from our social media, we’ve been spending some time apart.

We’ve carefully considered our future and decided to divorce. We’ve grown apart and are choosing to go our separate ways, but we remain friends and want the best for each other.

They ended their message by asking fans to respect their privacy while they go through a challenging period.

Being public figures makes it hard to maintain privacy. We kindly ask for your understanding and respect in this situation, as we shared in our statement.

The soap opera favorites actually met while working on As The World Turns.

I remember when he was married to Eileen Davidson! It was from 1997 to 2003, and she’s a fantastic actress – I’ve been watching her on ‘Days of Our Lives’ and ‘The Young and the Restless’ for years. They seemed really happy together at the time, but things change, I guess.

Lindstrom eventually moved on with McClain, and the pair went on to tie the knot in 2014.

Both Lindstrom and McClain are well-seasoned performers in the soap opera genre.

Lindstrom is famous for playing two roles on General Hospital: Ryan Chamberlain and Kevin Collins.
