Arthas enters Warcraft Rumble Season 13: The Lich King rises!

Frostmourne hungers in Warcraft Rumble.

Warcraft Rumble’s Season 13 is in full swing, and it’s both thrilling and sentimental due to Arthas Menethil’s involvement. In Warcraft 3 and World of Warcraft, Arthas was initially a respected Paladin. But after donning the Helm of Domination in Northrend, he fused with Ner’zhul, transforming into the Lich King. This season, players can acquire him as a dual commander unit.

Arthas enters Warcraft Rumble

In the game Warcraft Rumble, the Lich King is initially a miniature character who belongs to both the Alliance and Undead factions. At its launch, it has a total health of 1,100 points, deals 185 units of single-target physical damage, and possesses the abilities Remorseless Winter, Lichborne, Army of the Dead, Armored, and Frost.

Warcraft Rumble Lich King talents

Regarding his skills, they are Death Grip, Necrotic Blight, and Purgatory. Notably, Necrotic Blight complements Soulshatter effectively. Soulshatter is Arthas’ signature ability, causing frozen foes to perish instantly if they sustain damage while their health is below 20%. However, for this effect to occur, the Lich King must be present on the battlefield. Moreover, Necrotic Blight expands the application of Soulshatter to enemies afflicted by poison.

Talent IconTalent NameHow It Works
Death GripPeriodically pull Ranged enemies into melee range, stunning them for 2 seconds. This has a cooldown of 8 seconds. Death Grip also has a minimum range of 3 and a maximum range of 9.
Necrotic PlagueSoulshatter also applies to Poisoned enemies.
PurgatoryOn death, become invulnerable for 5 seconds. If the target dies, then return to life with 25% health. The target that needs to die is the first enemy that Arthas attacks after resurrecting and becoming invulnerable.

Warcraft Rumble Lich King traits

In my gaming world, I’ve come to know that the Lich King is a formidable foe with unique abilities. Among them are the Remorseless Winter, Lichborne, and Army of the Dead – these three are the freshest additions to Warcraft Rumble. The other traits he possesses are Armored and Frost, but I’ve been battling him for a while now, so I’m already familiar with those.

Remorseless WinterApply Frost to nearby enemies.
LichborneAlly Alliance minis summon a Skeleton Mage on death.
Army of the DeadPeriodically summon a Frosty Footman. The maximum is 2 of them. This has a cooldown of 10 seconds.

In case you’ve observed the reference to additional Arthas-associated units in the table, here are the initial stats for the Skeleton Mage and Undead Frosty Footman summonings below!

How to unlock Arthas in Warcraft Rumble

To include Arthas in your Warcraft Rumble team, you have the opportunity during a two-week in-game event. As stated by Blizzard, to unlock him, you’ll need to conquer him and his followers across three different battlefields.

After being unleashed, you’ll have access to Arthas within G.R.I.D until the event concludes on April 8, 2025, according to Blizzard.

Warcraft Rumble skins galore!

In the game of Warcraft Rumble, Arthas was the very first character to be given different skins. One of these skins depicts him in the traditional gold and blue colors of the Alliance. As the Lich King, he also has alternative color schemes. These include Shadow, Royal, Pink, Ice Demon Hunter, and Blood versions.

For other skin options, there are Icecrown Tower themed ones available too. Also, take note that golden skins will soon be introduced for the units of Tirion Fordring, Footmen, and Gryphon Riders.
