Arnold Schwarzenegger shocks fans with ‘weird and creepy’ remark about seeing son Patrick naked on screen

As a die-hard admirer, I can’t hide my excitement when I say that I had the pleasure of hearing Arnold Schwarzenegger gush over his son Patrick during an interview about the latter stripping down for season three of HBO’s smash hit drama, The White Lotus. The Terminator himself couldn’t help but make Patrick blush with his glowing praise!

In an open conversation during Variety’s Actors on Actors series, I had the privilege to listen in as a father-son duo discussed various topics, ranging from the intense public gaze Patrick experiences being a ‘nepo baby’, to bravely choosing full-frontal nudity for the most significant roles of their professional journeys.

Following Arnold, at the age of 77, pondering his nudity in The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Patrick, aged 31, casually pointed out that he too had bared all for a scene.

Arnold exclaimed in disbelief, “I found it hard to believe what I was seeing. I said under my breath, ‘Here I am watching your program, and your backside is prominently displayed.’ Suddenly, I caught a glimpse of something unexpected – a private part. It’s all quite bizarre!” Arnold recounted.

Even though I was momentarily startled upon witnessing Patrick undressed in The White Lotus, I swiftly recalled my thoughts: “Ah, Arnold, good to see you. Remember, you’ve bared all in Conan and Terminator, so there’s no room for complaints here.

Still, he quipped: ‘It was a shock to me that you were following my footsteps so closely.’

Instead of discussing his nude scene any longer, Patrick steered the discussion towards their shared experiences working with prominent directors in Hollywood.

The incident triggered a wide variety of responses across social media platforms, with several users labeling Arnold’s remark about observing his son naked as strange and awkward.

User X tweeted, “Arnold is acting like any other dad – amusingly uncomfortable at times. His joke about the ‘weenie’ made me burst out laughing.

Although Arnold faced criticism from some individuals, others commended him for engaging in a mutual interview and discussing hot dogs (or sausages).

Others called that portion of the interview ‘the funniest part of the whole segment.’

There’s something to appreciate about their straightforwardness. They don’t beat around the bush, but rather ask directly, ‘Hey, what’s happening here?’ That’s exactly the kind of candid commentary that reality TV should have more of.

Apart from Arnold Schwarzenegger expressing his views openly about his nudity on screen, Maria Shriver, Patrick’s mother, has also shared her thoughts publicly on the same matter.

When questioned about viewing her son’s frontal image, the 69-year-old journalist found the question uncomfortable and chuckled in response.

As an over-the-moon fan, I can’t help but exclaim, “Wow, did you catch that?!” And when others respond with amazement, I proudly declare, “I birthed him myself!” It’s not just about witnessing his nudity, mind you. I’ve been there since he was a tiny, vulnerable baby, long before the world saw his talent and stardom.

In the month of February, Chris Pratt, Patrick’s brother-in-law, openly admitted that he couldn’t help but glance at his own package during the explicit scenes from The White Lotus.

In a playful manner, Pratt told E! News, “I know which direction my gaze was headed – we’re not blood relatives, I was checking out that physique, buddy. Yes, he looks fantastic. He certainly embodies the physical ideal, but what truly impresses me is his acting skills, as the character he portrays is starkly different from who he genuinely is.

After the debut of “The White Lotus,” Patrick confessed that he was unaware of the full extent of nudity involved in his character, Saxon Ratliff, before accepting the part.

He shared that during auditions, one doesn’t get to read the entire script for a complete understanding of the role, and later in the process, they might be asked if they are comfortable with nudity upon signing the contract.

Patrick justified the frequent nudity associated with his character by explaining that his character, throughout its entire development, is absurdly foolish and the sort of individual who wouldn’t give a second thought to strolling about his room au naturel.

He emphasized that when he spots a woman at the pool, regardless if she’s a mother or in her twenties, he will always try to flirt with her.

To take on his role in the TV show that was filmed in Thailand for seven months, Patrick delayed his wedding with his fiancée Abby Champion.

As I found myself needing to postpone our wedding walk, my fiancée, Champion, proved to be incredibly understanding and supportive. This understanding was evident as we shared our feelings on The Drew Barrymore Show.

‘She was so happy,’ he said. ‘She was ecstatic because she was a huge fan.’
