Arnold Schwarzenegger Donates $1M to Fight LA Wildfires Amid New Blaze Erupting!

In response to a fresh wildfire that erupted in southern California, Arnold Schwarzenegger announced his commitment to contribute $1 million towards the aid efforts in Los Angeles.

On a Tuesday, the 77-year-old actor shared on Instagram that he intends to support disaster aid and make charitable contributions to three organizations.

He stated that in response to the catastrophic wildfires that ignited throughout the wider Los Angeles region on January 7, he intends to make charitable contributions to support those affected and displaced – specifically to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, the California Fire Foundation, and Habitat LA.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, famously known as The Terminator, unveiled a new t-shirt design for his fans, with all proceeds from sales being donated entirely to the charities mentioned earlier.

In his blog entry, he published a picture showcasing a vintage ‘LA Strong’ tee with an imprint of his likeness, displaying his muscular physique without a shirt on.

The famous actor is currently shooting a festive, Santa Claus movie called “The Man With The Bag” in New York City, all the while his house in Brentwood is at risk due to the Palisades Fire.

In his post, he expressed that many of his supporters have inquired about assisting Los Angeles. He plans to take the initiative.

In his post, the ex-politician stated that he would be transferring a total of one million dollars from his personal funds, dividing it among three organizations: The LA Foundation (@lafdfoundation), CA Fire Foundation (@cafirefound), and Habitat for Humanity in Los Angeles (@habitatla).

In a seemingly critical tone, Schwarzenegger expressed disapproval of corporations and wealthy individuals who solicit their followers for charitable contributions on their behalf.

He explained to his 26 million Instagram followers, ‘I understand your desire to assist, so I asked my team to create a t-shirt for you. All proceeds from its sale will be donated to charitable organizations.’

‘The shirt might look familiar,’ he explained.

He explained that it’s modeled after a well-known Los Angeles original, similar to the imitations peddled to tourists on the Venice Boardwalk, but with a key difference: he has the rights to his own likeness. Afterward, he mentioned that he shared the link to buy the shirt on his social media profile.

In the northern region of Los Angeles, a blaze known as the Hughes Fire ignited on Wednesday morning, following swiftly in its wake, fueled by strong winds.

About fortnight ago, the thirsty regions of southern California, undergoing severe windy conditions, ignited a wildfire that rapidly expanded throughout Los Angeles.

As of this publication, the Palisades and Eaton wildfires are still burning.

As per Cal Fire reports, the Hughes Fire has expanded across more than 3,000 acres and remains completely uncontained at this time.

Meanwhile, the Eaton Fire is 91 percent contained and the Palisades Fire is 68 percent contained.

A fiery, destructive blaze forced numerous locals from their homes and claimed at least 27 lives, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office.

Many prominent celebrities, including Leighton Meester and Adam Brody, have suffered losses due to the wildfires, with their house being completely destroyed.

Paris Hilton’s Malibu mansion was also completely destroyed.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Joshua Jackson, Anna Faris, Ricki Lake, and Cary Elwes are among those who’ve sadly lost their homes, as well as countless other buildings, due to the devastating wildfires.
