Armie Hammer Eviscerates Louis Theroux Over Cannibalism Questions

In simpler terms, Armie Hammer strongly criticized Louis Theroux following a discussion about cannibalism accusations made against him during a recent podcast.

In 2021, the actor, aged 38, suffered a significant fall from favor following a barrage of distressing accusations. These claims, made by several women, alleged that he had committed acts of physical violence and harbored dark fantasies involving cannibalism.

He was investigated by the LAPD in 2023 but ultimately not charged.

Towards the close of The Louis Theroux Podcast, Armie delivered an impassioned tirade that left Louis speechless, criticizing certain questions posed to him.

As a loyal follower, I perceived Louis as delving into old matters when the waters had long since calmed following the cannibal accusations against him. This observation came after he admitted to having sliced open the heart of a living creature and taking a bite from it during that specific episode.

Louis asked: Did you have anything else that you wanted to say? I should obviously say that.’

Armie said: ‘No, I mean I don’t love the way the interview started, just to be perfectly honest. 

I’m not particularly keen on revisiting all these matters since many of them are already resolved, either through legal means or personally within me. I believe the emotions connected to them have largely subsided.

It seems to me that actions like those cause unnecessary turbulence in the situation. Frankly, I didn’t find it an appealing start.

I appreciate it that we managed to overcome that issue and reached a point where we could engage in a polite, ordinary chat, which was quite refreshing.

‘But drudging all that stuff up, like I don’t love it.’

Louis remarked: “I caught your vibe, and I’m not wrong when I say it resonates with many. As for the verdict from the court of fans, we’re still deliberating.

However, it’s common that when it comes to opinions held by the general public about various topics, there’s often a lack of complete information.

Armie grumbled, “It’s likely they’re missing crucial details, and it’s quite possible they’re making mistakes.

Before going in at Louis, Armie discussed the allegations and how his life has changed since. 

During the conversation, Louis wondered if Armie might be a real cannibal. To this question, Armie responded with: “Here’s something you should know about being a true cannibal.

‘You have to actually eat human flesh. So no’. 

But he did admit to having taken a bite out of the heart of an animal as part of a hunting ritual. 

Louis inquired if reports were true that Armie had previously consumed the heart of a live animal while it was still warm, to which he responded: ‘One doesn’t consume the entire heart, such behavior is not acceptable.’

You sink your teeth into the meat, surrounded by your companions who egg you on, it feels like a powerful, intensely masculine initiation ritual when you embark on your initial hunting trip with them.

‘Everyone that I know who went hunting for their first time had to do something similar.’  

Louis queried, “Did you really do it then?” To which Armie replied, “Indeed, I did. But let me assure you, it had nothing to do with cannibalism or any sort of sexual pleasure.

In another part of our conversation, Armie drew an unusual analogy by likening himself to a comedian telling humorous anecdotes, as he discussed the cannibalism scandal that brought an end to his thriving career in Hollywood.

Armie highlighted that only his communications were shared publicly, leaving out the recipients and thus lacking context. He analogized his remarks to those of a comedian testing limits.

I’d rephrase it as follows: “I would point out that any evidence manipulated digitally lacks context and is therefore not accepted in court. For instance, it might appear to be a humorous exchange between two individuals who were bantering and provoking each other.

Sometimes, comedians will take jokes to the extreme limits during conversations. However, I’m not going to debate or challenge the ideas they present.

The actor, after seeking treatment following a scandal, attributed his inappropriate messages to his personality becoming more extreme due to substance abuse, as well as a desire to experiment or take things further in intimate situations.

‘Did I ever plan on harming anyone by cutting something off them or eating them? No, never. Did I enjoy joking about it when under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or find it amusing while typing these messages? Yes, I did.’

Context is crucial here. If I were to share your private jokes with others, removing your friends’ parts, I suspect you’d find yourself in quite a predicament.

Last month, the actor admitted that he currently resides in a compact dwelling while he focuses on revitalizing his acting career. He also pondered over the storm of controversy that mesmerized the public during the COVID-19 quarantine period.

On the Your Mama’s House podcast, he expressed: ‘The world appeared to be disintegrating, and individuals seemed profoundly dissatisfied with their personal lives,’ he said. ‘Next, a sensational tale emerged about an actor planning to murder and consume people. Suddenly, everyone was diverted, saying, “This is much more entertaining to ponder compared to being stuck in my living room”.’

Armie further clarified that the media uproar intensified as additional tales surfaced, remarking, “Should any private conversations from someone’s bedroom be broadcasted, regardless of their ordinary nature, people would undoubtedly react with ‘That’s just plain inappropriate.’

Armie additionally pondered over his previous interactions with females, acknowledging that he often employed them to bolster his self-esteem.

He stated on the podcast that ‘people served as my drug, wrapped in human skin’. Essentially, he felt a strong sense of power and validation when others desired to have sexual relations with him.

He admitted to exploiting women for his own pleasure, describing the situation as follows: “I’d swoop in these girls, whisk them away on exhilarating journeys, enjoy intense intimacy, and then vanish without a trace, leaving them with the sensation that they had been caught up in a whirlwind.

Previously opening up about his personal experience of sexual assault by a clergy member at the age of 13, the actor disclosed that he has undergone therapy and taken time to examine his behavior.

Additionally, he mentioned his kids whom he just celebrated the festive season with, recognizing that their future could potentially bear the impact of his decisions.

I understand that there may come a time when both my daughter and son will require therapy, and during those sessions, it is possible they might express feelings of dislike towards me as well.

In simpler terms, he has two kids – a daughter named Harper and a son named Ford – with his former spouse, Elizabeth Chambers. Since their separation in 2020, they have jointly taken care of their children as co-parents.
