This has sparked speculation that she might have been hinting at their relationship in one of her songs, where she sings about throwing away her reputation at the pub.

The pair crossed paths when Ariana was still in marriage with Dalton Gomez (age 29), whom she parted ways last year following a two-year union. Simultaneously, Ethan had been in a relationship with his former spouse Lilly Jay (age 32), from whom he is separated and together they have a son who is now two years old.

Astute followers identified the pub Ariana mentioned, upon noticing that she had started following “The Holly Bush” on Instagram. Subsequently, numerous fans shared videos of their visits to this location on TikTok, referring to it as a pilgrimage.

As a lifestyle aficionado, I’d put it this way: On her latest album “Eternal Sunshine Deluxe: Brighter Days Ahead”, Ariana expresses: “I unintentionally left a piece of me at a Hampstead pub, and in a positive twist, I seem to have misplaced my reputation. Yet, I believe we’ve managed to dodge potential heartaches by choosing this new path together.

According to a source, it can be confidently stated that profits are on the rise and the pub is bustling more than ever. Employees are freely engaging with patrons, but they’re being discreet about the specific travel plans of Ari, keeping those details under wraps.

Every time I’d swing by the local pub, there I’d find myself sharing a drink first with Dalton, then later with Ethan. Frequently, I’d catch glimpses of me in the secluded side room, laughing it up with my Wicked comrade-in-arms, the extraordinary Cynthia Erivo.

On the same album, listeners suspect Ariana may have made veiled criticisms of her former spouse, as she has typically been reserved and avoided discussing him or their personal issues in the past.

Could it be that listeners believe she is criticizing Dalton, based on the lyrics in the song “Twilight Zone” which seem to suggest a past relationship was a charade or deception, and they question if her feelings were genuine, as well as if the songs’ themes don’t pertain to him.

The song Past Life also appears to be about Dalton and their marriage. 

The chorus expresses, ‘I’ve often pondered about the consequences if I allowed myself to lose connection with you / I’ve often wondered what would transpire if I let myself depend on you more / Now, I’m ready (Ready), fine (Fine), to part ways in a previous existence.’

In December, Ethan’s former partner Lilly finally spoke out regarding his relationship with Ariana, expressing her feelings candidly about their divorce and the public deterioration of their married life.

In an article written for The Cut, she detailed their joint relocation to London as he filmed Wicked, followed by his leaving her for Ariana after they worked together on that film’s set.
