Ariana Grande reveals unexpected star made her fear she was 'being catfished' when they invited her over

As a dedicated follower and admirer of Ariana Grande’s journey, I find myself continually captivated by her extraordinary experiences and unwavering passion for music and performance. From her youthful dreams of emulating Judy Garland to her recent interactions with her idol, Imogen Heap, Grande’s life story is a testament to the power of determination, talent, and an indomitable spirit.

It is fascinating to witness how Grande’s childhood fascination with The Wizard of Oz and musical icons like Barbra Streisand and Judy Garland have shaped her career and artistic identity. Her ability to pay homage to these influences while simultaneously forging her own unique path is truly inspiring. The anecdote about her creative vision for The Wicked Witch of the West, complete with a Scream mask, showcases Grande’s knack for innovation and her commitment to pushing boundaries.

Moreover, her encounter with Imogen Heap, whom she described as ‘brilliant in every way,’ is a reminder that even idols can become friends and collaborators. The fact that Grande initially thought she was being catfished when communicating with her hero speaks volumes about the depth of her admiration for Heap’s talent. It also highlights the surreal nature of stardom, where dreams can sometimes blur the lines between reality and fantasy.

Grande’s humble beginnings as a child star on Nickelodeon, starting as a bumblebee in a school play, are a testament to her resilience and adaptability. The story of her spontaneous sting during a performance demonstrates both her mischievous spirit and her natural flair for the dramatic – qualities that have undoubtedly contributed to her success in music and entertainment.

In conclusion, Ariana Grande’s life experience is a captivating tale of dreams coming true, friendship with idols, and the power of artistic vision. Her story serves as an inspiration for aspiring musicians and performers everywhere, reminding us that with determination, talent, and a dash of mischief, we too can follow our dreams and leave an indelible mark on the world.

As for a joke to lighten the mood, I’d say: “I guess you could say Ariana Grande is a ‘Grande’ dame in the entertainment industry – she sure knows how to make an entrance, just like her idol Judy Garland!

As a devoted fan, I found myself alarmed when Ariana Grande disclosed her suspicion of being catfished upon receiving a message from the talented English singer-songwriter, Imogen Heap.

When queried about moments when she feels awestruck, the actress from “Wicked”, aged 31, amusingly reminisced about her initial encounters with Heap, a woman of 47, whom she deemed exceptional in all aspects and referred to as ‘exceptionally talented’.

My hero is Imogen Heap – she’s undeniably my top-ranked musician, songwriter, and producer of all time. When I initially received a message from her, I couldn’t help but think it might have been a hoax or an attempt at catfishing. This is what the singer confessed to W Magazine.

Grande previously included a remake of Heap’s track, Goodnight and Go, on her album, Sweetener.

In 2018, Heap told Billboard that she and Grande had come across each other a couple of times earlier, and she had already admired Grande’s cover versions of her songs.

On Ariana’s 21st birthday, it turns out her mom reached out to me by some means and inquired, “Could Ariana join us for dinner?” So, on a whim, she arrived at my home in the rural parts of London, and since I had my phone turned off, I couldn’t receive her calls. Consequently, they got lost navigating through the peculiar backroads of the countryside.

She went on to say, “Ariana must have believed this was all a grand scheme to kill her. Later, when I opened the door, there she was. Since I knew she was coming, I prepared some lentils for her as she follows a vegan diet.

Back in 2014, I spilled my heart out to Seventeen magazine about my dream collaboration – none other than my all-time favorite artist, the legendary Kate Havens (a.k.a. Heap)!

The singer expressed deep affection for her, saying he’d eagerly consumed all of her work, memorizing every lyric, harmony, and detail. Over the years, she’s been a significant inspiration to him, and he dreams of collaborating with her, hoping to maintain composure during their session without breaking down or shedding tears.

In her recent chat with W Magazine, Grande also shared her fondness for The Wizard of Oz from her childhood days.

In simpler terms, “She shared that as a child, she often sat watching TV while dressed in a gingham dress, closely observing the mannerisms of Judy Garland, including her posture and interaction with Toto. Her early performances might have been inspired by Judy Garland.

Grande went on to say: ‘I’ve been captivated by various sounds, pitches, and dialects since way back – one of my earliest memories is harmonizing with my mom in the car while we listened to Barbra Streisand, *NSYNC, or Over the Rainbow. I can’t recall a time when music wasn’t an integral part of my existence.’

She also pondered on a recollection of herself watching The Wizard of Oz while dressed in a gingham gown and wearing a Scream mask.

When asked why a Scream mask, Grande explained it was her ‘creative vision for it.’

She expressed, “I’d like to give a twist to this by donning a mask from Jason or Scream, or something similar. However, I should clarify that I’m quite fond of music in general. This might be contentious, but Avenue Q was my favorite, despite it winning the Tony for Best Musical over Wicked. But make no mistake, Wicked is still my top pick.

Previously well-known for portraying Cat Valentine on the Nickelodeon series Victorious, she additionally disclosed that her initial acting experience involved playing a bee (specifically, a bumblebee) in a school production.

In an unplanned moment during the performance, Grande admitted to doing something without seeking the teacher’s approval first. Specifically, she tore a piece from her costume and used it to sting one of her fellow actors on stage. She estimated that she was around five or six years old at the time.

When asked about a film that brings her to tears, the singer mentioned that it’s “The Waterboy” starring Adam Sandler which tends to make her emotional.

She shared, “I become emotional when people are unkind to Bobby Boucher. It’s not pleasant. I adore Bobby Boucher deeply. When he asks, ‘Could you still be my friend?’ I can’t help but get emotional. However, I tend to cry over everything.

Grande also stated that her favorite reality show is Love Is Blind.

She found the series extraordinary, and then mentioned that she occasionally checks their Instagram account to see if they’re still together.
