Okay, so everyone was going crazy with rumors, but then Ariana just dropped this amazing video! It was of Ethan, her boyfriend, talking about his role in Wicked, specifically how his character changes throughout the show. It was so sweet and totally shut down all the gossip, and honestly, it just made me love them both even more! It was like, ‘See? They’re just focused on their art!’ I’m obsessed, seriously.

It was a rare move for the star, 32, who seems to keep their relationship largely off social media. 

Although the video didn’t focus on their relationship, it did offer a look at how Slater prepares for his roles.

Actor Slater, age 33, portrays Boq, the character who becomes the Tin Man. He described the role as emotionally challenging.

He explained it wasn’t so much the difficulty of the role itself – everyone has a connection to it – but the sheer surprise of being cast in it. He added that the character’s journey is challenging to portray because the character is so well-known.

When adapting a character, it’s crucial to understand your personal connection to them. Otherwise, you risk losing the emotional core of who they are.

Oh, Boq… my heart breaks for him! Mr. Slater says he’s just lost, trying to figure things out. He hasn’t gotten over losing all his friends, except for Nessa, who… well, she’s kind of keeping him stuck. It’s just awful because everything he knew, everything familiar, is just… gone. Grande posted the video to her Instagram Stories on Thursday, not long after Slater began hinting again about problems in their relationship.

Slater recently fueled more speculation about his relationship with Grande when he awkwardly avoided answering a question about it during an appearance on the Today show.

When asked about working with his girlfriend every day, Slater avoided answering directly. Instead, he praised the whole cast of his film, calling them ‘incredible’.

Slater praised both Grande and Erivo, calling Grande ‘brilliant’ and Erivo ‘remarkable.’ He described watching their performances as a truly special and impressive experience.

Despite appearing distant at the London premiere of Wicked, a source claims that Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater are still a couple.

They were said to have met up following the red carpet and screening.

According to a source, Ariana and Ethan are still together, but they’ve been upset by the recent discussions and rumors circulating online.

Both attended the Leicester Square premiere and the after-party at Brasserie Zedel, but deliberately avoided being photographed together.

The source also said that both people involved don’t want their relationship to be public knowledge.

They added: ‘When Ariana left the after-party, she went back to her hotel suite.

‘Not long after, Ethan was taken there and went up to see Ariana to spend time with her.’

In October, the Daily Mail reported that Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez had paused their wedding plans. The couple hasn’t been seen together publicly since April, and insiders say their relationship has been rocky for months, with periods of being together and apart.
