Ariana Grande Is Back In Wicked Mode Thanks To Some Gorgeous Glinda Throwback Photos

As a dedicated cinema enthusiast, I can’t help but feel my heart race as we inch ever closer to the release of “Wicked: For Good” in 2025! Ever since the initial movie graced our screens last November, fans like myself have been buzzing with excitement, and that anticipation is only growing stronger. Even Ariana Grande, the talented actress playing Glinda, can’t hide her eagerness – just take a look at those stunning throwback photos she shared! Trust me, they’re every bit as captivating as the enchanting Glinda herself.

The singer and actress’s Instagram feed has been slowly ramping up for Wicked’s second act. The first clip announced the premiere was four months out, and the second boasted the current cast. Those were then followed by two images of Grande wearing her iconic Glinda crown, with the one below seemingly showing off one of her dresses from the upcoming movie (which we have seen in For Good’s trailer):

In a slightly different wording, her additional pair of pink posts took things a step backwards, but they also highlighted the captivating pink ball gown she wore during the initial scenes in the musical, Wicked. Here’s a glimpse for you:

I can’t lie, the posts are making me want fall to fly by. It’d be one thing if we just got the snippet above of her opening scene gown, but as you saw, that wasn’t the case. She posted the aforementioned black and white of her part 2 gown and another casual one of her opening number; it oddly feels right for what’s unfolding in the coming blockbuster. Of course, this sudden feeling also sparked earlier this year when the first Wicked: For Good’s promotional ads were revealed, but the throwback is hitting just the same.

It appears that many others share my enthusiasm for the sequence of Glinda-inspired photos. Numerous individuals expressed their admiration for the visually stunning, pink-themed spectacle and discussed the upcoming launch of the sequel in the comments. Here are a few examples, featuring some notable figures:

1. User1: “Oh my stars, those Glinda-fied snaps are absolutely breathtaking!”
2. User2: “I’m positively smitten by this stunning pink display! Can’t wait for the sequel!”
3. User3 (a well-known blogger): “The Glinda-inspired photos are pure magic! Can’t believe we have to wait for the sequel now.”
4. User4: “These Glinda-fied snaps are a feast for the eyes! Can’t wait to see what happens next in the sequel!”

As the buzz around her second album simmers online, the “Yes, And?” artist has a multitude of upcoming projects. First, she’s expected to feature in the much-anticipated sequel to Wicked, followed by her role in the unexpected continuation of Meet the Parents 4, slated for release in 2026. In addition to a major film next year, she’s hinted at a tour and other ongoing ventures. She’s also set to collaborate with Jon M. Chu once more on his 2028 animated project, Oh, The Places You’ll Go.

Beyond the debut of “Wicked: For Good,” there’s plenty more on the horizon for Grande (alongside the whole team) as well!

Here’s to wishing the rest of the team follows suit with the 32-year-old’s nostalgic feelings and shares some great behind-the-scenes photos, too, before the movie’s release on November 21st – or perhaps they could kick off a press tour earlier instead of later.

Currently, the simplest method for experiencing more of the enchantment from Oz is by watching Wicked once more on Peacock, if you have a subscription.
