After appearing at the Golden Globes on Sunday, many of Ariana Grande’s fans believe she’s finished with her work on the ‘Wicked’ movie and is now focusing on her pop music career again.
Following a year of anticipation and a major promotional campaign, the second part of the Wicked story was released in November.
She’d been dreaming of playing Glinda since she was 13, so landing the role felt like a dream come true.
After changing her hair and hairstyle, some fans expressed worry about Ariana Grande’s appearance and noticed she seemed to have lost weight during the promotional events for the movie Wicked.
The 32-year-old popstar was instantly recognizable thanks to her iconic hairstyle, which she always wore whether she was performing, on TV, or accepting awards.
Fans were surprised when she dramatically changed her appearance, switching from brunette to blonde hair for the coveted role of Glinda in the hit movie.
On Sunday night, Ariana Grande surprised and excited her fans by bringing back her signature high ponytail for the awards show.
The actress switched back to her natural brown hair in October, and fans recently noticed it appeared even darker. Many also commented that she seems healthier since finishing filming the movie Wicked.
Over on TikTok fans were overcome with excitement as they wrote: ‘Ponytailiana, we are so back!’

As a big fan, I’ve noticed everyone’s been talking about how Ariana’s gone back to her classic style, and it seems to have happened right after the intense promotion for Wicked wrapped up. She and Cynthia Erivo were inseparable for the past year and a half, constantly together, and now things feel a little different with the movie finally behind them.
People have noticed Cynthia Erivo is no longer involved with the ‘Wicked’ movie, as her contract has finished and her time with the project is over.
Cynthia didn’t attend the Golden Globes because she’s currently in London rehearsing for her role in the West End production of Dracula.
During the promotional events for the movie Wicked, Ariana repeatedly had to talk about comments people were making about how she looked.
In a 2023 TikTok video, she responded to questions about her body, explaining what it’s like to have one that receives so much public attention and scrutiny.
‘I think we should be gentler and less comfortable commenting on people’s bodies, no matter what.’
Regarding comments about her looks, she explained that beauty comes in many forms.

She confessed that she was at her lowest point and not eating well, even when she appeared to be at a healthy weight.
She admitted it seemed obvious, but hoped that being open and honest could lead to something positive. She also pointed out that healthy relationships don’t always look the same.
Lots of fans now believe Ariana and Cynthia are no longer close, noticing several hints over the past few weeks that suggest they’ve drifted apart.
Rumors started circulating earlier this month after a cryptic post appeared on the Hollywood gossip website Crazy Days and Nights. The post hinted that two famous actors – one who also sings – who are currently working together are no longer on speaking terms, potentially causing problems during upcoming awards shows.
It wasn’t clear if the anonymous story – one that reports details but keeps the people involved secret – was about them.
Lots of fans thought the message was directed at them, and ever since, social media has been flooded with speculation that the two actresses are no longer friends.
Adding to the situation, people also noted that it was Cynthia’s birthday on Thursday, and Ariana didn’t post anything to celebrate her friend.
