Ariana Grande and boyfriend Ethan Slater continue to put split rumors to rest with holiday post

Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater seemed to dismiss breakup rumors on December 26th by posting the same photos to their Instagram Stories.

On Boxing Day, the couple shared photos online of a cozy get-together with friends, suggesting they celebrated the holidays together.

Thirty-three-year-old Slater posted a couple of quick videos showing the 32-year-old pop star with her dog, Toulouse. In the clips, the pop star is smiling and looking lovingly at whoever is filming.

Although Slater wasn’t directly featured in the posts, Ariana Grande quickly shared his Instagram Stories, adding pink heart stickers to them.

This week, the couple addressed rumors of a split when Slater attended Ariana Grande’s hosting performance on Saturday Night Live, marking their first public appearance together in weeks.

She also reposted a photo from her friend Doug Middlebrook, showing them with their friends Bowen Yang and Harry Moore.

In the photos, Grande wore a classic, elegant outfit for their holiday get-together.

She wore a black turtleneck and pants, and a cream-colored headband to add a pop of color to her outfit.

She wore very little makeup, and her strawberry blonde hair was neatly pulled back into a bun.

On the same day, both Grande and Slater also shared footage of a deleted scene from Wicked. 

Ariana Grande will play Glinda the Good in the upcoming Wicked movie, and Ethan Slater has a supporting role as Boq.

The newly released video shows a nostalgic look back at the characters’ school days, featuring footage of them together as students.

Oh my goodness, I just saw the most amazing clip! It was of Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, and Marissa Bode as Nessarose – all hanging out together with their friends! It looked so sweet and genuine, I seriously can’t wait to see them all together on screen. I’m already obsessed with this cast!

The video featured a kiss between the characters Glinda and Fiyero, and Ariana Grande shared it online. However, Jonathan Bailey (who played Fiyero) did not repost it.

Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater began dating in the summer of 2023, shortly after both had filed for divorce earlier in the year, according to reports.

After the first ‘Wicked’ movie came out, the couple faced a lot of criticism because people believed their romantic relationship began while they were both still married to others.

When filming began in December 2022, Ariana Grande was married to Dalton Gomez, and Nick Slater was married to his wife, Lilly Jay, whom he’d known since high school.

Jay, a clinical psychologist, had also just given birth to their newborn son.

While filming the movie Wicked, both lead actors went through breakups with their significant others. Around the same time, their close friendship blossomed into a romantic relationship, which caused a lot of public discussion – some of it negative.

As Ariana Grande and her fellow actors began promoting the movie Wicked, rumors resurfaced about her relationship with Ethan Slater, with some fans wondering if they had split up.

While promoting their project, the couple was seldom spotted together, leading to speculation that their two-year relationship had ended.

Okay, so earlier this year, everyone started freaking out because Ari and Ethan hadn’t been spotted together for ages! It seriously had me worried – months went by with no photos or anything, and all we could do was wonder if they’d broken up. A source told Daily Mail in October that the twosome has been ‘on and off for most of this year.’ 

Ariana Grande recently hosted Saturday Night Live, and her appearance happened to fall on the same night as her Wicked co-star, Bowen Yang’s, last episode after many seasons on the show.

Photos posted by Ariana Grande’s longtime friend and former colleague, Liz Gillies, showed Dalton Gomez visiting Grande’s dressing room, seemingly confirming they are still together and dismissing rumors of a breakup.

A photo showed actor Aaron Simon Gross relaxing on a couch with Slater and Gillies.

Last week, the singer of “7 Rings” also tried to dismiss the rumors by posting a video of her boyfriend discussing his role in the movie Wicked.

They previously addressed the rumors back in November, while at the New York City premiere of the movie musical.
