As a seasoned player of Arena Breakout, hailing from the ranks since its early days, I must say that the recent developer talk for 2025 has left me buzzing with anticipation! The focus on fixing technical glitches, improving gameplay, and enhancing community interaction aligns perfectly with my personal wishlist.
As the year 2025 draws near, Arena Breakout is getting ready for its most challenging and exciting phase. The creators have given us a peek into their plans for the game, focusing on three main aspects: technological advancements, game enhancement, and service upgrades. Although this isn’t a formal roadmap, it offers a clear view of what they are working on, so I’d like to share all the details that the latest developer discussion revealed about the Arena Breakout 2025 update plan.
Arena Breakout update and improvement roadmap for 2025
Zach Gilson, also known as ZGilly, from Arena Breakout has given some insights about upcoming changes. He clarified that this isn’t a full roadmap, but rather a sneak peek of what we can expect in the near future. As suggested by the title, these updates can be categorized into three main sections: technical improvements, gameplay refinements, and community-oriented advancements.
Fixing technical glitches
One major issue that’s finally being addressed is the “sunken corpses” glitch. If you’ve ever lost loot underground after taking down an opponent, you know how frustrating this bug has been. ZGilly says that fixing this issue has been very difficult. The team explained that this glitch started back in Season 3 when ragdoll physics was introduced.

Modifying your graphic and frame rate settings could make things run more smoothly for you. They’ve been diligently working towards a solution, and we anticipate considerable advancements in this area during Season 7. ZGilly also discussed enhancing and optimizing the overall performance of the game.
Improving Gameplay and Environment
The Dark Zone is going to undergo alterations to tackle harmful behavior. Issues like team killing and loot theft have been significant concerns, so the developers are implementing harsher penalties. From now on, persistent team killers will be subjected to a one-year ban, and there will also be new cooling-off periods to prevent teammates from looting locked rooms excessively.
Furthermore, if you’ve grown weary of collaborating with teammates, the forthcoming “Solo Mission” mode offers a chance to play on your own. They are even contemplating options like customizable “loot distribution settings” and “loot restrictions” during matchmaking to enhance the single-player experience.

In addition to the conversation about “ratting,” ZGilly touched upon a strategy where players lay in wait to take advantage of others. Although it has tactical value, this approach can mar the game for others. To ensure fairness, adjustments will be made to spread damage effects during Season 7, providing you with additional time to respond to ambushes.
In addition, they’re investigating novel strategic tools to aid in enemy detection and have plans to regularly refresh maps to maintain excitement. They’re brainstorming ways to make battles more engaging, such as introducing tactical items that could temporarily immobilize enemies. A new game mode called “Secure Ops” is also set to debut.
Other updates
To express our gratitude, we’ll be offering free skins in Season 7 for everyone, with additional cosmetic rewards on the horizon for 2025. We plan to release even more complimentary cosmetics throughout 2025 as a way of thanking all our dedicated players.
