Are Matty's lies going to come out already in Matlock season 1, episode 3? (Preview)

As a seasoned crime drama enthusiast who has seen more courtroom dramas than I can count, let me tell you that Matlock season 1, episode 3 is a rollercoaster ride! Matty, our young and eager lawyer, finds herself in deep waters when her rusty trial skills are put to the test. And it’s not just about winning the case; it’s about proving that justice can indeed prevail in the face of sexual harassment allegations.

In the third episode of season 1 from Matlock, Matty faces more than just a trial. There’s a possibility that some of her hidden truths could be revealed.

In the last installment, Matty came dangerously close to making a mistake, and this wasn’t limited to her nightmares. She’s trying to move too quickly in real life as well. This situation calls for playing the long game, but not everyone is keen on that approach. However, I can vouch from personal experience that the long game can be worth it.

Given the mistakes from the last episode, it’s understandable that she’s feeling a bit anxious in the most recent one, particularly since she needs to demonstrate her out-of-practice courtroom skills.

There’s a human lie detector in the office in Matlock season 1, episode 3

In this latest installment, Matty faces an unexpected ordeal that isn’t hers personally, yet requires her to dust off her long-dormant legal abilities. Olympia isn’t giving her a pass due to age; instead, she’s on high alert and it’s hard not to criticize her harshness towards Matty at times, though we understand why she’s acting this way.

Matty is planning to approach this case uniquely. Olympia isn’t fussed about the method as long as they secure a victory in the upcoming trial – it’s a crucial one. They’re standing up for a woman who alleges she was sexually harassed by her superior and unjustly dismissed. It can be incredibly difficult to substantiate such claims, which is why many women choose not to speak out. However, Matty might be able to persuade the jury to understand the client’s perspective regarding the boss.

During the trial, it appears that there’s a truth-detector in the office – Shae, who works as the firm’s jury consultant. Could this be the point where Matty starts making mistakes? Might Shae and Olympia join forces to uncover Matty’s true actions?

Check out the promo and synopsis for Matlock season 1, episode 3:
