Are Bottle Caps finally about to come to Pokémon GO?
It seems that a much requested item is finally coming to Pokémon GO.
In Pokémon GO lore, an item long sought after by players could potentially make its debut. As suggested by The Pokemod Group, certain elements discovered within the game’s files hint at a method for enhancing the Individual Values (IVs) of captured Pokémon. This leads us to speculate that we may soon have Bottle Caps available in Pokémon GO.
Initially, Bottle Caps made their debut in the seventh generation, encompassing the Sun and Moon video games. Since then, they’ve been a staple in every Pokémon game that followed. In the primary series, you exchange these items with someone who enhances the Individual Values (IVs) of one of your Pokémon.
For a while now, players have been eagerly waiting for certain items to appear in Pokémon GO. The introduction of the Lucky Trinket suggests that Niantic might be considering adding even more potent items to the game. There’s a possibility that Bottle Caps could become accessible through some form of pass system during this year’s GO Fest.
Data miners indicate Bottle Caps could be coming to Pokémon GO
The Pokemod Team has uncovered some fresh chunks of coding hinting at the imminent arrival of Bottle Caps.
Unveiling this code has sparked a surge of enthusiasm among Pokémon GO trainers. Many trainers have a Pokémon that is nearly reaching the highly coveted 100% IV hundo status, whether it’s a mighty Legendary or a beloved personal Pokémon.
It appears there might be a plan in place, offering either a single or triple boost. If it’s a triple boost, it could potentially transform a 14/14/14 Pokémon into a perfect one, or hundo. This could potentially be a temporary enhancement, which is why the term “bonus” is used, but remember, nothing has been officially confirmed yet.
Just as the Lucky Trinket will reveal its secrets gradually over time, so too will additional information about it become clearer in the upcoming months. There’s no explicit reference to it in the code, and yet it seems destined to be integrated into the game somehow. Although we may not know precisely how this might happen, one thing is certain – something related to it is definitely coming our way.
