As a devoted gamer, I can’t hide my excitement when I learned that Riot Games unveiled a fresh trailer for Arcane Season 2! It looks like Sevika, Silco’s trusted confidante, is making her way back into the narrative. Can’t wait to see what unfolds!
Riot Games recently unveiled a fresh trailer for Arcane Season 2, due to air in November following the League of Legends World Championships. The video offers fans a glimpse into the upcoming season, with particular attention drawn to the reappearance of Sevika in Season 2. The teaser trailer also hints at other developments within the new season.
Arcane Season 2 Trailer confirms fan-favourite antagonist’s return
The trailer opens with a frantic Jinx dashing through what seems like Zaun’s bustling streets. Initially, she’s in the throes of a heart-wrenching scene, weeping loudly while rushing down an alley, holding tightly to a bulky bundle wrapped in fabric. As she nears the end of the alley, she’s suddenly tackled by a thug equipped with two Chemtech robotic arms, causing her to tumble back and let go of her package, which rolls out of sight.

In a quick response, Jinx attempts to counter with her Hextech gun, but it slips from her grasp as another thug appears from behind, making it two against one. The thugs force her up against a wall, and then their leader steps forward into the light. Behind the pair emerges a grey cat-like creature wearing a top hat and goggles, adorned with Chemtech enhancements. This creature bears a resemblance to Yordles, but it’s uncertain what species it truly belongs to. Attentive viewers of Arcane might recognize this figure: indeed, you’ve met him before! This enigmatic being is one of the Chembarons – the criminal heads and powerful figures who covertly govern Zaun without official sanction.
Chembarons turn on Jinx after Silco’s death

“Little Blue One! It seems you’ve slipped through their grasp, more like an elusive eel!,” sneers Chembaron to Jinx. This implies that either Jinx has evaded Piltovan authorities or she’s holding something stolen from Piltover. Most plausibly, Piltover has placed a bounty on Jinx due to her assault on the council, and the Chembarons aim to collect this reward. They don’t appear angry about a fellow Chembaron’s death, as it leaves an opportunity for them to seize power; however, they show surprise when Jinx admits to killing Silco. It’s possible that they haven’t yet learned of Silco’s demise or failed to recognize Jinx as the killer.
“Chembaron says, ‘I want you to stay alive,'” as his mechanical legs extend and his Chemtech hand unfolds to reveal a large needle on one finger. “I didn’t expect to find you crying. Wonders if Silco witnessed that,” he adds, tauntingly.

Jinx admits to Silco’s murder in Arcane Season 2 Trailer
In response to Jinx’s statement, “Twice – when he met me, and when I ended his life,” The Chembaron reels in shock and fury, appearing bewildered by Jinx’s admission of killing Silco, her second adoptive father. He retreats, and one of the thugs prepares a Chemtech-enhanced punch aimed at Jinx’s face. As he readies his strike, a gunshot rings out, causing him to lose his hat. A mysterious figure wielding Jinx’s missing pistol, targeting The Chembaron and his enforcers, steps forth from the foggy alleyway. Get ready, Arcane followers: It’s none other than Sevika, one of the adversaries from season 1.

In this rephrased version, let’s break down the scene:
Arcane Season 2 Trailer Analysis
- Jinx is on the run, and now no longer has the protection of Silco. Silco was heavily implied to be one of the Zaunite Chembarons.
- She’s transporting something through the city in cloth and ribbon. Two distinct possibilities stand out: Silco’s body or her guns Fishbones and Pow-Pow. If this scene is more far-removed this scene is from the ending of Season 1, it’s almost certainly her guns.
- At least one Chembaron is after Jinx, and not for themselves. Instead, somebody else is looking for Jinx. Given the other Season 2 trailers, it’s a safe assumption Piltover has a bounty on her head.
- Sevika is alive and well enough. She appears to become an unlikely ally for Jinx, honouring Silco’s devotion to his adoptive daughter by protecting her after he’s gone.
- The Chembarons seem to know Silco is dead, as they refer to him in conditional past tense. However, they don’t appear to know that Jinx was the one to kill him until this scene.
From what we can gather based on the Arcane Season 2 “Enemy of My Enemy” trailer, we’ll have a clearer understanding once the series premieres in early November, following the conclusion of the World Championships of League of Legends Grand Finals. It seems that even professional gamers are eager for more of Arcane!
