The much-loved Pokémon Applin is finally coming to Pokémon GO.
The long-awaited arrival has finally happened! Applin, Flapple, and Appletun will make their entrance in Pokémon GO during the Sweet Discoveries event. This is a highly anticipated debut for a cherished Pokémon, and it also introduces an innovative new evolution process.
The wait is over! Now you can catch Applin, Flapple, and Appletun in Pokémon GO during the Sweet Discoveries event. It’s great news because they are beloved Pokémons, and this debut brings a brand-new way for them to evolve too!
The occasion offers some remarkable incentives too, such as enhanced chances for finding Shiny Pokemon across various species, whether they’re hatched from Eggs or encountered in the wild.
Here’s everything coming with the event you need to know.
Sweet Discoveries event in Pokémon GO

Event Bonuses
Here are all the event bonuses avaliable during those dates:
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
- Increased chance to encounter Shiny Delibird and Shiny Skwovet.
- Increased chance to hatch Shiny Delibird, Shiny Cherubi, and Shiny Skwovet.
- Catching Delibird or Skwovet will award Berries.
- Increased chance for apples to appear at Mossy Lure Modules.
- 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance for first three Eggs hatched using the Pokémon GO Egg hatching widget.
Ensure you’ve set up the Egg Hatching tool beforehand to maximize your benefits during this occasion. Since Shiny Cherubi is quite scarce, it would be fantastic if one hatches from the Eggs during this period.
Applin comes to Pokémon GO during the Sweet Discoveries Event
As a Pokémon GO gamer, I’m super excited to share that during this event, we’re welcoming three newcomers: Applin, Flapple, and Appletun! These guys have a fresh and exclusive evolution mechanism. To evolve my Applin into Flapple, I need 200 Applin Candy along with 20 Tart Apples. For transforming it into Appletun, I’ll require the same 200 Applin Candy but with 20 Sweet Apples instead. Can’t wait to see these guys in action!
In the world of Pokémon GO, apples have recently been introduced as a new feature. They operate similar to the Pokéballs we saw during April Fool’s Day. To enjoy these apples, you will need to explore the map and tap on them. Doing so may result in receiving Sweet Apples, Tart Apples, or encounters with various Pokémon.
