Apple has delayed the release of its upcoming thriller, *The Savant*, which was originally scheduled to premiere on its streaming service this Friday, September 26th. According to a statement given to *Deadline*, Apple TV+ says they’ve decided to postpone the series, but plan to release it at a later date. They thank viewers for their understanding.
So, the idea was to release the first two episodes this Friday, and then keep dropping new ones every Friday until November 7th. Pretty standard release schedule, honestly!
The Savant is a show about an undercover officer infiltrating online hate groups suspected of plotting domestic terrorism. The groups are believed to be capable of carrying out an attack on a scale similar to 9/11, and the series depicts events like the bombing of a government building.

I’m really bummed to hear the show’s been put on hold, and Apple hasn’t said why yet. I’ve been checking to see if Jessica Chastain has said anything about it, but haven’t seen any updates from her as of today.
However, that doesn’t mean we’ve seen the last of the actor. Chastain is set to star in a new Apple TV+ series called *The Dealer*.
The show, directed by Sam Gold and written by Lucas Hnath, is a sharp look at how power, social class, attraction, and culture collide within the glamorous and competitive world of high-end art, according to the streaming service.
I’m so excited for this new movie, The Dealer! I heard Florence Pugh is going to be playing a young woman trying to make it as an art gallery owner, and Adam Driver – yes, *the* Kylo Ren! – will be playing this incredibly talented but kind of creepy artist she represents. Apparently, their relationship is going to be really complicated and messy, which sounds amazing!
Chastain also appears in the film *Dreams*, which will premiere at the BFI London Film Festival next month. The movie tells the story of a romance between a Mexican dancer and an American philanthropist, offering a look into the hidden side of a wealthy and exclusive society.
The Savant does not currently have a new release date.
