Fountain of Youth‘s streaming success is seemingly eternal.
Guy Ritchie’s 2025 film, a surprise streaming success, is an action-packed adventure centered around two long-separated siblings (John Krasinski and Natalie Portman) on a quest to find the legendary Fountain of Youth. The movie, titled Fountain of Youth, boasts a fantastic cast including Domhnall Gleeson, Eiza González, Carmen Ejogo, Laz Alonso, and Stanley Tucci.
According to FlixPatrol, which tracks streaming popularity, the movie Fountain of Youth is currently number 5 on Apple TV+’s daily list of most-watched films worldwide. Since its release on May 23, 2025, the movie has consistently reappeared on the chart, often climbing into the Top 5.
As of today, the 2025 release of Fountain of Youth is popular in over sixty countries. It’s reached number two on the charts in Bolivia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Honduras, Ireland, Malta, and Niger. The album is also doing well in English-speaking countries like the United States (number 4), Australia (number 5), and the United Kingdom (number 3).
With its ongoing success, Fountain of Youth is now seen as a strong alternative to a sixth Indiana Jones film. A new Indiana Jones movie seems unlikely for now, especially after Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny didn’t perform well financially in 2023. Reports indicate Disney lost $130 million or more on the film, as it only earned $384 million worldwide despite costing around $350 million to make.
Many critics have noted similarities between the movie and the Indiana Jones films. Rotten Tomatoes-approved critics have made this comparison over 15 times, likely due to the film’s treasure hunt plot, its exciting international locations, and the use of mythology in the story.
Despite hinting at a possible continuation, a sequel to Fountain of Youth hasn’t been approved yet. If the film’s recent streaming popularity leads to a follow-up, it has the potential to become a successful adventure series, similar to the five Indiana Jones movies that began in 1981.
Those involved with the movie Fountain of Youth have hinted that a sequel is possible. In a 2025 interview with Entertainment Weekly, Natalie Portman stated she’d be willing to return if audiences showed interest, and Guy Ritchie added that while the film’s success would be a factor, everyone involved would enjoy working on another installment.
