Apex Legends: Takeover Kicks Off Today With Meta Changes, Anniversary Event and More
Today marks the beginning of the “Takeover” event in Apex Legends, offering exciting updates and fresh features to all the game’s characters (Legends).
Apex Legends: Takeover introduces Creator Commissioners, offering exclusive and customized challenges and prizes within the battle royale experience. Additionally, Arsenals are introduced – weapon hubs providing access to all weapons of a specific ammo type at your convenience.
In the updated version of the game, Assault Legends now have fresh abilities such as Additional Ammunition and Extra Firepower, while Armed and Dangerous offers players additional ammo, more grenade slots, enhanced weapon handling, and a Battle Surge for quicker reloads and increased movement speed when shields crack.
Improvements to gaining access to Ranked mode are now “more competitive, enjoyable, and equitable,” and there’s a fresh Anniversary Event in store, commemorating six years of Apex Legends. This event showcases 36 Anniversary Event items, all either Legendary or higher, including Heirloom Shards and an exceptional Wraith-inspired Mythic R-301 weapon, which includes three unlockable tiers.
The action-packed game “Apex Legends: Takeover” is currently available to play on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and personal computers. For a detailed rundown of the updates, you can check out the detailed patch notes here.
