Anya Taylor-Joy’s best movie is now available to stream for free
As a die-hard fan of horror and someone who has witnessed a lifetime of chilling tales, I can confidently say that “The Witch” stands out as one of the most hauntingly brilliant films I’ve ever seen. The unparalleled talent of Anya Taylor-Joy, coupled with Robert Eggers’ masterful direction, creates an atmosphere that is both terrifying and captivating.
In this interpretation, “The Witch” showcased the exceptional skill of Anya Taylor-Joy, and for many, it remains her most impressive film to date, even with stiff competition from movies like “The Northman” and “Furiosa”.
If you haven’t had a chance to watch the fantastic horror film by writer/director Robert Eggers yet, you can currently stream it for free on Tubi, an ad-supported streaming platform that recently became available in the UK.
In the 1630s, I find myself stranded in the heart of a desolate New England wilderness, far from any semblance of civilization. My family and I have been banished from our community for reasons stemming from a heated religious disagreement. The movie, titled The Witch, unfolds this tale of isolation, fear, and the supernatural forces that seem to be lurking just beyond the edge of our firelight.
As their youngest child mysteriously vanishes, the parents grow suspicious of Thomasin (played by Taylor-Joy), questioning her involvement with witchcraft. Meanwhile, an enigmatic force lurking in the surrounding woods attempts to entice Thomasin to embrace a life of indulgence and pleasure.
In the lineup of Tubi’s Halloween Highlights for October, “The Witch” will be featured along with “Don’t Breathe 2”, “Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2”, and “The Strangers”.
All titles were added today (October 1) to mark the start of Halloween month.
