What Apple TV’s Lucky Is About?

I’m so excited about this new show, Lucky! It’s based on a really cool book, and it follows Lucky Armstrong, played by Anya Taylor-Joy, who’s basically a professional con artist. The plot kicks off when a big heist she’s involved in goes south, and suddenly she’s on the run from both the FBI and a seriously scary crime boss named Priscilla, played by Annette Bening. It sounds like a wild ride!

I just finished watching Lucky, and it’s a gripping thriller! The film centers around a woman forced to rely on her wits to stay alive and escape a dangerous world. It’s not just her story though; the supporting cast is fantastic, featuring strong performances from Timothy Olyphant, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Drew Starkey, Clifton Collins Jr., and Willian Fichtner. They really add layers to this intense ride.

Lucky Makes Anya Taylor-Joy’s 2026 Even Bigger

Anya Taylor-Joy has a busy year coming up, including her work on Lucky. She’ll be returning as Princess Peach in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, joining Mario, Luigi, and Toad on a space adventure to face Bowser’s son, Bowser Jr., played by Benny Safdie. The film is set to be released on April 1, 2026.

Anya Taylor-Joy will appear alongside Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya in Dune: Part Three this December, playing the character Alia Atreides. Currently, Lucky is her only scheduled television project for 2026, and it could be a successful return to the small screen for the actress.
