Anthony Anderson admits ‘regret’ over his VERY inappropriate comment to Lindsay Lohan when she was just 17

Anthony Anderson has expressed regret over an inappropriate remark he made to a then-teenager Lindsay Lohan during an interview in 2003, which has been shared widely online more recently.

54-year-old Anthony Anderson, who stars in Black-ish, temporarily hosted The Sharon Osbourne Show. At the time, Lindsay Lohan, aged 17, accompanied him on the show to discuss her latest film, Freaky Friday, as she promoted it.

At age 33, Anderson conversed with Lohan when she disclosed her decision to live with friend Raven-Symoné. She admitted, “I don’t have a partner,” leading Anthony to enthusiastically remark, “She’s currently unattached, but seeking!

The Disney channel celebrity stated, “I’m considered inappropriate for adults,” to which the substitute host replied, “Some prefer them young, without naming specific individuals, but I am among those.

The representative from Anderson clarified to Entertainment Weekly, as reported on Friday, that the interview was meant to be humorous.

He apologizes if his humor was perceived as offensive towards Lindsay, and he continues to hold her in high esteem. Any suggestion to the contrary would be incorrect and could potentially be damaging to her reputation.

During the recent interview, prior to taking a commercial break, Anderson briefly brought up Lindsay Lohan’s film titled “Freaky Friday.

Just momentarily, the actor expressed readiness for a lively, spirited interaction, before stepping nearer to the actress seated on the couch.

The Law & Order star then put his arms around Lohan who placed her hands over her mouth. 

The 2003 interview, featuring the actress, has recently become popular on social media platforms, given that she’s currently marketing the forthcoming sequel titled “Freakier Friday.

Over at X, they shared their opinions about the reemerged video. One person expressed it this way, ‘It simply became more and more distressing… and increasingly so.’

One individual exclaimed, ‘This is astonishing! By any chance, have you ever witnessed him being humorous?’ Another online user chuckled, ‘Even she admitted, “I’m unlawful,” humorously enough.’ (Maintaining the original meaning and tone while using more casual and conversational language.)

One person remarked, “That’s what he truly expressed,” while another added, “There’s no issue with admiring women who are 18 and over, but she was only 17.” (Note: The original statement may be perceived as inappropriate due to the age difference between the individuals involved.)

People spoke up in support of Anderson, with one fan commenting, “Relax. It was an awkward joke,” and another saying, “It was very distasteful, but for me, that’s all there is to it.

In 2018, it came to light that the actor was allegedly being investigated for a crime by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) following an accusation of assault made by a female caterer.

In response to the claims made against him becoming public that same year, Anderson strongly refuted them. A representative for the comedian clarified to The Blast that just because someone can submit a police report, it doesn’t necessarily mean the allegations are true or false.

As a die-hard fan, I’m on the edge of my seat waiting for any updates regarding the recent allegations. However, it seems that neither Anthony nor his team has received any official communication from the authorities concerning this issue. What’s more, Anthony himself firmly refutes these claims, leaving us all wondering what the truth might be.

In just a few short months following the submission of the complaint, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office decided there wasn’t enough proof to proceed with charges against Anderson.

Approximately two decades ago, in the year 2004, a woman who worked as an extra, aged 25 at the time, alleged that both Anderson and an assistant director had sexually assaulted her during the filming of Hustle & Flow.

Eventually that year, the trial wasn’t pursued because the judge determined that there wasn’t enough evidence to warrant a trial.

In the year 2004, another individual alleged that Anderson had perpetrated a sexual assault, an incident she asserted took place during the filming of All About The Andersons.

Previously, the comedian got married to Alvina Stewart in 1999 and they have two kids together.

Back in 2015, I initiated the divorce proceedings, but luckily, we managed to patch things up two years after. However, just recently, in 2022, I found myself filing for divorce once more.

In 2023, it became public knowledge that following their agreement, Anthony was mandated to provide $20,000 in monthly alimony to his former spouse.

As a die-hard fan, I’m still waiting for Lindsay Lohan’s reaction to that iconic 2003 interview. Seems like she’s got her hands full with promotional activities for her forthcoming film, Freakier Friday – the buzz is already electrifying!

Earlier this week, Lindsay appeared remarkably young during her attendance at a glitzy event in Hollywood on Monday. This project is actually a follow-up to the 2003 Disney film titled Freaky Friday.
