As a lifestyle expert with extensive experience, I can confidently say that becoming a parent later in life, like Ant McPartlin at 48, is a testament to the timeless joy and responsibility of parenthood. It’s heartening to see Ant embracing his new role as a father with such enthusiasm and contentment. His words echo the sentiments of countless parents who find themselves in the midst of sleepless nights and mountains of dirty diapers, yet still managing to express unadulterated love for their little ones.

Ant McPartlin offers a seldom-seen peek into his daily life with his newborn son Wilder, who is now four months old, following his first-time fatherhood at the age of 48.

On May 14th, the TV host, aged 48, and his partner Anne-Marie Corbett, who is also 46 and a mother of two, welcomed their first child together, named Wilder.

Speaking candidly about his current state to The Daily Star, Ant shared, “Things are going great for me; I couldn’t be happier. There’s a lot of diaper changing and sleepless nights, but it’s just fantastic. I’m enjoying every moment of it. This year has been exceptional.

Ant disclosed that he’s been receiving some beneficial guidance from Dec, a man of 48 years old, who is father to Isla, aged six, and Jack, aged two, alongside his partner Ali Astall, at 45 years old.

However, Dec wasn’t entirely on board with this, responding: “I do pass along advice and suggestions. But they’re quite terrible. My usual guidance is simply: hand over the baby to someone else!

Ant posted a welcome message for Wilder Patrick McPartlin on his and Dec’s Instagram, saying: “Wilder, you’ve joined our family! Born May 24th, 2024, at 8:54am.

‘Baby is beautiful, Mummy’s a legend, Sisters are over the moon. Dad’s a mess! ❤️’

He accompanied the news with a black-and-white photograph of himself cradling his new arrival.

The photo showed off a large tattoo he has on his bicep of a tree with the words ‘Amzie’, ‘Daisy’, ‘Poppy’, and ‘Bumble’.

Amzie is what Ant calls his spouse, Anne-Marie. Daisy, age 15, and Poppy, age 13, are Anne-Marie’s daughters from a past relationship. The family pet is named Bumble.

Ant split from his first wife, make-up artist Lisa Armstrong, in 2018, after 11 years of marriage.

Six months into the job as her personal assistant, Anne-Marie became part of his life, and he eventually made their relationship known to the public after that period.

Previously, Ant mentioned that he and Lisa have been considering having children. They are currently attempting this endeavor, but finding it more challenging than they anticipated, especially as they’ve grown older.

On Wednesday, Ant and Dec were suited and booted for the 29th annual National Television Awards.

The pair were nominated in two categories: Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award and TV Presenter.

In contention for the Bruce Forsyth award, they faced off against The Masked Singer, The Graham Norton Show, Michael McIntyre’s Big Show, and their own competition, Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.

The duo received the accolade for their contributions to the show “I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!” that they’ve been hosting since 2002.

Without surprise, the mischievous pair from Geordieland repeated their victory yet again, claiming the title of Best TV Presenter for an unprecedented 23rd consecutive year. They outshone Alison Hammond, Bradley Walsh, Claudia Winkleman, and Stacey Solomon in this occasion.
