Ant Anstead’s ‘Shameful’ Confession About His Turbulent Past with Christina Haack

Ant Anstead has mended his rocky bond with his ex-spouse, Christina Haack. However, he expresses a sense of remorse over the length of time it took them to rebuild their relationship, primarily considering the wellbeing of their 5-year-old son Hudson.

For several years, the couple, who were together from 2018 to 2021, faced a challenging legal dispute over guardianship, reaching a point where Ant made an unsuccessful attempt to take sole custody of their child.

During a recent episode of The Flip Off, Ant confessed that it was regrettable and unfortunate for them to have taken several years before they could become friendly again, which he discussed while they were on the opposite side.

During his recent visit to the program, Ant mused, “Hudson turned five not too long ago. Those five years have been incredibly challenging, but things have taken a turn for the better about three months back. The bond we share now is invaluable, and it’s led to a remarkable transformation.

In his own words, he expressed, “It took us, as parents, nearly five years to reach that stage, and honestly, that’s regrettable. Our bond is unbreakable because we share a child together. Consequently, I must stand by the mother of my child.” He declared his ex as the victor in the episode.

In June 2021, the divorce between Ant and Christina was officially completed. However, in April 2022, Ant filed for full custody of Hudson, alleging that his ex-partner was only spending a limited amount of time with their son each month. He further claimed that she was exploiting him on social media for attention, and potentially endangering his health and safety.

On the same day, the judge rejected his request, pointing out that Anstead failed to provide adequate notice to Haack and did not prove that Hudson was in imminent danger under the current joint custody arrangement.

Using her lawyers, Hall rejected the assertions that she endangered Hudson or was uninvolved in his upbringing, labeling them as astonishingly false accusations.

In December 2022, they resolved their child custody dispute, deciding to maintain shared legal and physical custody of their son.

Christina also opened up about their improved relationship on the show.

She explained that Ant caught her off guard by giving her a warm, heartfelt embrace after her breakup with Josh Hall. The hug was particularly large and meaningful.

‘Ant and I split up when Hudson was one and now Hudson is five,’ she said on the show. 

She remembered that during the years from his first birthday up until around his fifth, our interactions were fairly limited.

Since Josh and I parted ways, I headed over to Ant’s place to fetch Hudson as he had a birthday party to attend,” she explained.

‘And when I walked up to the door, he gave me a huge hug,’ she continued.

‘We hadn’t hugged in years.’

She mentioned that event marked a significant shift in their relationship, following the heartfelt moment and kind act by her former partner.

She remembered it as a touching moment when he expressed, “I’m deeply sorry for all that you’re experiencing, and I’ll always be available to help in any way possible.

Ant was a special judge on Christina’s program where she challenges her ex-spouse Tarek El Moussa and his wife Heather El Moussa in a competition to discover who can purchase, renovate, and resell a property for the highest profit, as described by HGTV’s website.

The Wheeler Dealers star even picked his ex as the victor.

He was brought up to believe that family is important and should be valued above all else, no matter what the circumstances or expectations might be. As I stepped out of the house this morning, it was clear that Christina had already triumphed in whatever situation she found herself in, according to his explanation.

Anstead then abruptly got up and left the room leading to Tarek yelling ‘come on!’ toward him. 

After parting ways with Christina, Anthony eventually discovered affection in the arms of actress Renee Zellweger, and they have been together since 2021.

Ever since I learned about Christina’s divorce from Josh, I can’t help but follow her love life closely. And guess what? It seems like she’s found someone new! Over the past few months, I’ve noticed that she’s been spending time with a guy named Christopher Larocca. I wonder if this is something more than just friendship.
