After an unexpected loss at the National Television Awards, Ant and Dec issued statements following their first-ever missed opportunity for the Best Presenter award after a streak of 24 consecutive wins.
As a diehard fan, I’m thrilled to share that this morning, they graciously posted a video on their official Instagram account. In it, the cherished duo was celebrating their victory in the Reality Competition category for I’m a Celebrity, and extending warm congratulations to Gary Lineker for breaking their 23-year-long presenting streak! What an exciting moment!
From South Africa, where they are filming the upcoming series of I’m a Celeb’s All Stars spinoff, Dec expressed his gratitude: “We wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who voted for I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here last night.

“Yes, thank you very much. Everyone here is very, very happy,” Ant said.
Ant also wanted to express his gratitude to everyone who voted for us in the Best Presenter category, but unfortunately we didn’t win this year,” he said, followed by a light-hearted remark: “We lost to a fresh face in the industry, none other than the youthful 64-year-old, Gary Lineker.

In simpler terms, people considered the ex-presenter of Match of the Day’s victory as fully earned, and Ant and Dec commended his heartwarming speech during the award ceremony.
Upon hearing his victory declared at the National Television Awards on a Wednesday evening, broadcasted by ITV, Gary appeared genuinely astonished to be honored with what he referred to as the “Ant & Dec Trophy.

“Thank you to everybody who voted for me – hugely appreciated,” Gary said.
Apart from Ant and Dec, the highly anticipated presenting group also featured nominees like Alison Hammond, Claudia Winkleman, and Stacey Solomon in their ranks.
Leaving the stage, Lineker commented to reporters that winning was both “wonderful” and “astonishing”, expressing further gratitude by saying, “It’s a privilege to carry on from their accomplishments and become the victor myself.
The NTAs aired on ITV and is streaming on ITVX.
