After remaining quiet for a while, Ant and Dec have finally spoken up following their loss in the category of Best Presenter at the National Television Awards on Wednesday evening.
The pair unfortunately broke their 23-game winning streak against Gary Lineker. However, they couldn’t attend the ceremony to receive the loss because they were busy preparing for the next season of “I’m A Celebrity” in South Africa. Instead, they posted about it on Instagram the following day.
The pair expressed their gratitude by stating, “We simply wanted to pop in and extend our heartfelt thanks to all those who cast their votes for ‘I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here’ last night. Yippee!
A big thank you to all! Everyone here seems genuinely delighted. And a special thanks to those who voted for us in the ‘Best Presenter’ category, although we didn’t manage to win it this year. Your support is truly appreciated.
In our recent match, we faced a promising newcomer – a 64-year-old named Gary Lineker. He truly outperformed us, and it was quite commendable. Congratulations Gary, your victory was well-deserved! Your speech afterward was captivating too, really adding to the celebratory atmosphere. Bravo!

During the occasion, Gary, aged 64, appeared noticeably shocked upon hearing the news, as he stepped onto the stage amidst a thunderous round of applause filling the arena.
Previously renowned soccer player, who parted ways with Match Of The Day amidst some controversy earlier in the year, expressed to his audience: ‘Gosh, I’ve been awarded the Ant and Dec trophy! Many thanks to those who voted for me, it means a lot. This is truly astounding.’
In Thursday’s episode of Lorraine, the host delved into the ‘debated’ outcome after their impressive victory against the trophy.
She stated, ‘Let’s address the issue first: Ant and Dec didn’t win the Award named after them. As I always believe, they deserve the recognition, so my congratulations are due.’
Another debate arose, however, as Molly Mae’s victory came against some exceptional competitors – Rob Burrow, Freddie Flintoff, Amie Dowden, among others. Many may have been left with surprised expressions.
I have arranged a story for Jessica, and two more for Emma. We have also planned out our TV schedule from now until Loose Women.
