After another unsuccessful attempt to qualify for tournaments and a string of disappointing performances, OG has disbanded its Dota 2 team.
Looking back at 2025, several Dota 2 teams have enjoyed success, but OG hasn’t been among them. Although the organization has received attention, it’s been for negative reasons. Following more unsuccessful qualifying rounds and tournaments recently, yet another OG team has fallen short of its goals.
OG’s Dota 2 roster has been released again

2025 was a great year for Dota 2 overall, but OG has faced significant challenges. The team has gone through many roster changes throughout the year, but none have proven successful. Despite participating in numerous qualifying events and tournaments, OG hasn’t been able to build a stable and competitive lineup, leading to the disbandment of yet another team.
OG announced on their X account that their current team is no longer with the organization. This news follows Johan “N0tail” Sundstein’s recent return to competitive play, joining the team for DreamLeague Season 2. Despite the excitement surrounding his comeback after a three-year break, the team’s performance didn’t meet expectations.
Just over a week ago, OG announced they were also disbanding their Latin American team. This means OG currently has no players signed – only staff remain with the organization.
Is this the end of OG?

OG’s team has faced a difficult year with numerous challenges, including players having to fill in for each other – even legends like N0tail and Ceb. Combined with rumors of financial problems and disappointing results, the future of this iconic team is uncertain.
OG isn’t expected to perform well in tournaments for the rest of 2025. However, they’ve always been known for their determination, which helped them win The International two years in a row and build a strong reputation. It remains to be seen how this once-dominant team will fare in the upcoming Dota 2 season.
