Anomaly Interception Overview
Intro
In simpler terms, Anomaly Interception presents a tougher yet more rewarding daily challenge. It boasts five constant boss characters you can engage with. Every day, the commander gets to pick which boss they’ll face according to their preference. Unlike Interception EX, there is no switch in bosses; each boss can be tackled at any given time.
As a gamer, I’ve noticed that the challenge difficulty ramps up quite sharply here, reminiscent of the Solo Raid battles with Nikke capped at level 400 if the synchro surpasses the threshold. Unfortunately, if my synchro falls short of 400, no boost is provided, and I’ll have to take on the boss using my current synchro level. However, it’s still worth tackling this challenge because the rewards from stage 1 of any Anomaly Interception boss outshine those from a stage 9 Interception EX boss.
Furthermore, as the stage advances, each boss inflicts progressively greater damage on Nikke who possesses an elemental vulnerability. For instance, the Iron-coded Kraken D.T.M.R will scale its damage from 300% to 500% against Nikke with an Electric code. Each boss’s weaknesses and strengths are detailed in the guide for your reference.
Breakpoints
Similar to Interception EX, the type of rewards you receive depends on the specific stage of the boss you’ve advanced to before the timer runs out. Certain milestones have minimal impact, while others significantly boost your chances of receiving better rewards.
The breakpoints represent stages 1, 3, and 6. Each breakpoint raises the likelihood of receiving a reward by at least 10% over the preceding stage.
In case a gamer finds themselves unable to advance past a particular level or encounter, opting to retreat from the battle will earn them the rewards based on their current stage’s progress, while also conserving valuable time.
What boss to farm?
For each supervisor, there’s a separate reward reserve where commanders can gather a particular kind of item (like farming Helmets by battling Ultras), at significantly higher rates compared to Interception EX.
For completing crucial Overloads related to Nikke, it’s strongly advised to begin by tackling any of the Bosses that drop gear. The Kraken, in particular, is often seen as an end-game farming option due to the extra income of custom modules it provides.
