Annie Lennox’s Daughter Lola’s Heartfelt ‘Hen Do’ Breaks the Boozy Mold

Typically, hen parties are known for being lively events, but unlike most, Lola, daughter of Eurythmics star Annie Lennox, is going against the norm.

Instead of the planned wedding with Canadian musician Braeden Wright, aged 36, Lola, age 34, hosted an enjoyable gathering, which she referred to as a “wholesome” event, at The Wolseley in Mayfair.

The soon-to-be-wed woman, much like her mom who is also a singer, donned a cream sequined gown and bridal veil in the images she shared on the internet.

At a delightful gathering! We shared touching and absurd tales, and I departed feeling ecstatic from the numerous uplifting messages, as Lola expressed, who is related to Annie through her past marriage with Uri Fruchtmann.

She signed off her carousel of images with: ‘Next stop…the wedding!’

Born and raised in London alongside her sister Tali, who is both a model and an artist, Lola divides her life between the cities of London and Los Angeles.

Lola stood gracefully, striking a pose against shimmering “Bride-To-Be” balloons tinted in rose gold, while her elegant dress and oversized white heels completed the ensemble.

Additionally, she posted a collective photo featuring everyone present, each sporting vibrant, stylish shades.

The elegant room was adorned with numerous balloons and party accessories, such as a balloon showcasing the image of Lola and her spouse, along with sticks bearing masks of Braeden.

The fancy room boasted an assortment of colorful balloons and festive items, one of which featured Lola and her partner’s picture, while there were also stick-held masks of Braeden.

Lola announced the pair’s engagement as the ‘best moment of her life’ back in July 2023.

She shared a selfie, flaunting her new engagement ring, saying: ‘He outdid himself with the most wonderful proposal I could have dreamed of.’

2023 saw Lola unveil her first extended play, entitled “Dreamer,” which included a track bearing the same name and was followed by an alluring photo session.

Lola’s single was co-produced by her Grammy-winning mother and Braeden. The EP contains five tracks, each written and sung by Lola herself.

Lola explained in a press release that she named her EP ‘Dreamer’, as she believes she wouldn’t be the person she is now without having dreams. Her dream-like state revealed to her what her heart truly desired, and it infused meaning and purpose into her life.

The term is a fitting description for each tune on the EP, as they originate from a dream’s seed, a yearning moment when I seem to drift away from reality and touch upon something beyond it.

She continued, “I’m thrilled to reveal this collection of songs. Each one encapsulates a specific moment from my life, and collectively, they paint a picture that reflects more broadly on my experiences and emotions.

Experiencing the process of creating the tunes in this EP has been some of the most enjoyable periods of my existence. It’s been incredibly gratifying to watch my concepts materialize, face challenges that pushed me to evolve, and ultimately, to unveil my creations to the world.

The first track, titled “Dreamer,” comes after Lola has already shared her earlier hits such as “Back At Wrong,” “La La Love Me,” “Wherever You Go,” “Love Like That,” and “Want More.

At the tender age of seven, Lola began her musical journey by learning to play the piano. Over time, she honed her skills and eventually was accepted into The Royal Academy of Music, where she specializes in singing as a soprano.

Among the artists that I draw inspiration from, I count Nina Simone, Dusty Springfield, Etta James, Florence + The Machine, and Lana Del Rey as some of my key influences.
