Tonight, you can watch the mystery thriller *Before I Go to Sleep*, starring Anne-Marie Duff, who you might know from *Bad Sisters* and *Reunion*. It’s airing quite late, though – possibly even after you’ve gone to bed!
This movie centers around a woman who lost her memories after a near-fatal accident. She teams up with a brain scientist to try and piece together what happened, but her recollections start to conflict with the story her husband tells her, making her question what’s real.

When Before I Go to Sleep was first released, critics weren’t very impressed. It received a 36% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 118 reviews.
According to reviews, the *San Francisco Chronicle* praised the film for being cleverly made and full of surprises, with acting that felt genuine and believable.
In a review for *The Observer* (a publication related to *The Guardian*), Mark Kermode described the film as delightfully silly and praised the excellent performances from the lead actors.
Nicole Kidman expertly portrays a mix of nervousness and growing suspicion, while Colin Firth cleverly uses his usual subtle appeal to create a surprisingly unsettling character.
The Detroit News gave the film a somewhat mixed review, noting it created an ‘old-fashioned sense of tension’ and, while not on par with Hitchcock, was still enjoyable.
