In the United Kingdom, the chilling psychological thriller titled “Before I Go to Sleep“, starring Anne-Marie Duff, has secured a new platform for online streaming.

Every day after a distressing incident, Christine finds herself starting fresh with no memories. However, as she meets with a new therapist, she begins to uncover chilling fragments of her past.

Just added to Prime Video, “Before I Go to Sleep” is now watchable for UK subscribers. The film remains accessible on Netflix in both the UK and Ireland, having been made available earlier this year.

The movie currently has a 36% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 118 reviews, indicating it didn’t receive overwhelming critical acclaim. However, several critics did commend the performances of the lead actors, despite noting some issues with the film’s storyline.

In our initial review for the movie on Digital Spy, we pointed out that the acting prowess of Kidman, Firth, and Strong significantly enriched this British psychological suspense film.

Although Rowan Joffe skillfully connects the plot’s threads, our opinion was that what could have been an intelligent, thought-provoking thriller turned out to be more like an unsettling bedtime tale.

According to The New York Times, without the dedicated acting of its stars that bring emotional nuance to this seemingly fake and laughable production, ‘Before I Go to Sleep’ would be nearly impossible to watch due to its comedic collapse.

Empire Magazine’s evaluation was somewhat blended, stating: “Outstanding acting keeps viewers on their toes along with our protagonist, yet the dramatic aspects of the characters diminish as the suspenseful plot thickens, which may not be favorable.

In simpler terms, Mark Kermode from The Observer found it delightfully absurd, while The Australian criticized that the thriller lacked excitement.

Before I Go to Sleep is now available to watch on Prime Video and Netflix in the UK and Ireland.

The latest print issue from Digital Spy, titled “Oasis – Live in ’25”, is now available! You can purchase it at local newsagents or online for only £8.99.
